Where in the World is Charlie Weis?

Just viewing this and all the stories I heard from the Daviham years, you can't argue that CW is making the effort to get the best into ND and keep us at the top. I always hear the saying that we are playing with Willingham's players, but the more I'm looking at who we have coming in, I think ND is ready for an explosion very very soon. There are going to be bodies flying all over the place on the field. There is something brewing in South Bend.

CW mentioned that they were going to be hitting the road this week so I thought it might be a good idea to keep an eye on the plane. Chances is are one of the coaches will be using it if they're all hitting the road.

Is Weis or any of the other coaches paying visits to any 08 or 09 recruits on the left coast while they're out here?

I think I'll call CW on his cell and set up a lunch to share my thoughts with him. :eek:grin:

Yeah, it was mention on last week's Inside Notre Dame Football that they would be doing this week's show late because CW was going to stay on the west coast to do some recruiting.

Wonder if he going to go after the QB from Mater Dei high, Barkley isn't it?

He is such a recruiting animal seriously. He's gotta be a little irritated on the times he went out of his way to get a kid here only for it not to pan out......such as Reuland. He went to Wellington Mara's (Owner of the NY Giants) funeral in New York in the morning and then immediatley flew out to Cali to see Reuland play his HS game....come on man...guy is insane.

6'6" 249 lbs. DE. A young Ivan Drago with longer hair.

If he was going to see Barkley he would fly into John Wayne IMO.

Either way, go get'em Cdub!!!

Just to let you know he does have a profile on here too.

I'm also guessing that he won't be using the ND plane since he's already on the west coast and the plane is in KC. Jeff Jeffers specifically mentioned that he would be staying on the west coast. I wouldn't be suprised to see Gerell Robinson get a visit since his parents weren't able to make the visit to ND, as well as the rest of ND's verbal commits from the west coast and several Jr.s too.

The ND airplane arrived in Teterboro, NJ around 11:40am EST. Obviously who is on it, and who they're going to see is a mystery. Sounds like a job for Scooby and the Mystery Machine. rheeehhheeehehe

EDIT: I should have put this info in the "Where in the world is the ND plane" thread.

From what I've been told CW will at times go out of his way not to use this plane all the time because he became aware people were tracking it. He still occasionally usues it, but he also often uses booster's planes. Rember that it's the schools plane too, not just the football's or athletic department's.

Right. I actually didn't believe CW was on it. And I don't know whether it was used for any FB related purpose.

I imagine he will be making a trek back across the US towards SB or continue going further east. As of Monday, we know he was still here on the left coast and know he has a visit planned for G Robinson in Arizona. Perhaps a stop in Nebraska if a visit to T Robinson is in the works.
