Just want to make sure I understand correctly. If someone could confirm or deny, I’d appreciate it.

So, we are about to give a stone cold killer back to Putin in exchange for Britney Grider? Because her testosterone level doesn’t allow her to follow simple flight rules…like not carrying on your pot.

What am I missing, ladies and gents? There must be more to this.

This is the transparency and accountability we all seek from the White House.

A hoe will be a hoe. Can’t turn a hoe into a house wife per Luda.

That’s our President running to a hole of safety. No concept of anything, just run to the hole…

America is stupid, Drayer. Don’t you get it? Left is now right and north all of a sudden points south. Let’s redefine the meaning of recession, too, while at it. “Shut up, and listen, you stupid Americans.” “Play like sheep”.

It literally only takes a set of eye balls to see.

Then what is it, Joe? Oh, can’t field questions, again? I see. Thank you for that piece of garbage, sir. Btw, what’s up with everyone’s 401ks? Some of us (majority) aren’t smart enough to get into OSU’s butt fuck smarter than ND classes like Boogie, so our savings are important.

Help me understand how you are helping someone stupid with a baseball degree from Tech like me. Or any other hard working American.

What a joke of press conference for a hotel employee, let alone the leader of world’s greatest nation.

It is a ridiculous trade on it's face. We didn't have any lesser Russian assets we could release to them? Trading an evil merchant of death for a celebrity athlete. I'm curious what Britney says about her time in Russia once she's back, and if she plans on going back. She was a pretty outspoken opponent of the US in the past.

This is not a good, but it's being done for some good pub which is pretty rare for Joe.

Calling her a celebrity athlete seems very generous.

After midterms, I believe that CNN and other Lib media may actively turn on Biden. I think CNN has finally admitted that the Hunter Biden stuff is real. I think they are just waiting in the weeds now. Pressure will be applied to prevent Biden from running for another term.

How do we keep winding up with turd sandwiches and giant douches for candidates?

They will continue to demonize Florida with smear stories and lies and then prop up California to try and push Newsom and continue attacking DeSantis.

  • Voter disenfranchisement
  • Gerrymandering
  • Idaho and Rhode Island having the same amount of Senators as California and Texas
  • The electoral college
On that note, this asswipe only got 3% of the vote last night in Missouri:

LOL, you obviously have a list of things that grind your gears, but none of those items have anything to do with how we end up with terrible choices for candidates on both sides of the aisle.

Trying to be more constructive than just saying "stupid people". Think of the dumbest person you know. Then realize there are millions dumber than him or her. Many of them vote.

I think getting the money out of elections is a great place to start.

That's why only property owners and tax payers should vote.

Capped senators per state and the electoral college were safeguards in place to make sure populous states like New York, Texas, California, etc don't decide all important legislature and elections for smaller states (Among other reasons). From Senate.gov: "To counter this popular influence in the national government, James Madison of Virginia proposed another house that would be small, deliberative, and independent from the larger, more democratic house. This became the Senate." What's good for urban city dwellers in NYC may not work for the rural farmer in the Midwest, and vice-versa.

Here's your history on the electoral college. These points and the compromise still hold true today. A populist president appealing directly to the people could command dangerous amounts of power (And you wonder why both parties want everyone at each other's throats, it's in their interest).
At the time of the Philadelphia convention, no other country in the world directly elected its chief executive, so the delegates were wading into uncharted territory. Further complicating the task was a deep-rooted distrust of executive power. After all, the fledgling nation had just fought its way out from under a tyrannical king and overreaching colonial governors. They didn’t want another despot on their hands.

One group of delegates felt strongly that Congress shouldn’t have anything to do with picking the president. Too much opportunity for chummy corruption between the executive and legislative branches.

Another camp was dead set against letting the people elect the president by a straight popular vote. First, they thought 18th-century voters lacked the resources to be fully informed about the candidates, especially in rural outposts. Second, they feared a headstrong “democratic mob” steering the country astray. And third, a populist president appealing directly to the people could command dangerous amounts of power.

Out of those drawn-out debates came a compromise based on the idea of electoral intermediaries. These intermediaries wouldn’t be picked by Congress or elected by the people. Instead, the states would each appoint independent “electors” who would cast the actual ballots for the presidency.

Most successful leaders want nothing to do with being in politics for these reasons off the top of my head:

1) All the headaches
2) Fundraising and begging people for money
3) Job instability
4) Media
5) Twitter/ Facebook/ Instagram
6) Family exposure
7) Campaigning is no joyride
8) In some cases, it could be a serious pay cut

On the other hand I could make the argument that it's basically a part time job with high end benefits and a very nice lifelong pension.

I have a better chance of becoming an international sex symbol before that happens.
