To the down votes… I need to know are you “triggered” and are my words violence 😉?
Public school educator here for 15 years. Teacher and coach for most. I’ve also been on vacation since early June. Standing up for teachers is flattering, but don’t feel bad for all teachers. Making 65k, not including coaching and other opportunities to make far more can lead to quite a decent lifestyle, particularly with a working spouse. I can’t speak for all teachers, but I was chilling at a beach bar at 11am today.

Parents both retired high school math teachers from michiana area schools. Made for a great child hood. Could be at my sports games, coach teams, family vacations multiple times a year. And also why they both taught public bc it pays so much more and I went to Marian.

What other professions put in a brutal 180 days with summers, weekends, fall, christmas, and spring breaks. God bless em
Liking that 6'3" posted height.

I know it won't fix everything by any means, but I am jonesing for a tall QB at ND. I'd love to see a 6'3" guy standing in the pocket, able to see down the field and slinging it all over the place behind a stout O-Line.

This is a large part of the reason I am pumped for Carr :D
Demetrius Jones and assume Crist were tall. Sure, QB height helps, but you have to have the tools to take advantage of that extra inch or two…at least that’s what my wife tells me.

I really think we get one of these guys:

1. Holstein
2. Lonergan
3. Novosad

I think one of Holstein or Lonergan will flip. Why would two highly ranked QBs enter the same class? Not smart. Go where there is an obvious gap with talent which increase odds of valuable Playing Time.

I believe Holstein isn't happy with Bama taking Lonergan.

I really don't think ND needs to far down the list. We have a great team and decent receivers.

Loy update saying Novosad is torn on what he wants to do, gonna take visits to ND, A&M, and Baylor then make a decision.

Didn't somebody report earlier if we get him on campus we'll be in the driver's seat?

If he’s really trying to visit all 3 hopefully he doesn’t get paralysis of choices and kick out the harder one in ND

I mean, this is fun and intriguing but are we really going to land the Texas QB who is committed to Baylor, a A&M legacy, and almost committed to OSU at one point? I would be glad to be proven wrong here but I think the chances are even less that what's currently expected.

Personally, I think he's gonna flip to A&M
The only thing that makes me think he isn't, is why hasn't he? He's had plenty of time to do so, family favorite, has the offer. Something is holding him back from doing so.

My only guess as to why he may be not as drawn in by A&M is A&M offered a handful of other QBs before him after Holstein decommitted. That or just wanting to get away from home school, not for everyone (Carr).

Carr is also committed but they had a 5 star last year.

Recruiting's about relationships but momentum has a lot to do with it as well. Momentum in regards to overall team signings. Momentum as it relates to Novosad individually.

ND has a lot of momentum overall. ND also seems to have some momentum with Novosad. Braylon being committed is a big plus, but I think Greathouse announcing when he did created some of that momentum with Novosad. I am somewhat hopeful if he visits. Going on IPC the other day certainly caught my attention.

It makes sense for him to visit ND if he's interested. Per On3, he's visited Baylor four times (official on 6/17), TAMU four times (no official), and OSU twice (official on 6/10). Hasn't been to ND at all.

There's a strong Texas presence in our current class and he might think he can come in and really compete w Buchner, Pyne and Angeli next year. Don't think it's a good bet to say we land him but we have some things going for us in this recruitment.

whos got 100 acres of timber ground in Indiana? This kid loves to whitetail deer hunt and fish. Someone take him out to the sticks and let him hunt shoot some monsters! Much bigger deer in the midwest then Texas.

We got good Rees during the CJ Carr recruitment. Now bad Rees is showing up again. 2022 and 2023 QB recruiting has been a straight shit show. Why are they offering one QB at a time?

I’m not saying I’m confident Rees is working ninja like, but look at the landscape of other teams, no one committed besides Novosad is publicly reporting other suitors. There are many teams pursuing QBs. PSU expects a committed QB to visit them in the coming days (heck maybe Minchey?) for example but is keeping it under wraps.

Would love to know why the strategy now isn’t to offer your 3 or 4 favorite QBs at once and tell them that the first to jump gets the spot.
Probably because recruiting/building relationships with 3 or 4 guys is pretty difficult to do at this point when 1. they're committed elsewhere and 2. it's late July.

Indiana has the largest deer in the nation from what I’ve heard.

Freeman seems like a deer hunter. Right? To me he gives off major deer hunter vibes.
