The T.Laws thread reminded me of this...Anyways, I definetly think one of the 3-4 defensive minded teams will take T.Laws in the first round. That D is becoming very popular in the NFL. I just don't see a better NT prospect out there than T.Laws. He is impressive. I think Carlson has a shot if he does good at the testing. Hopefully NFL teams will realize that he was playing with a frosh QB and a VERY inexperienced OL. I think he could land late in the first a la Greg Olsen last year. Thoughts?

Trevor Laws I could see in the first round but as for Carlson, I definately do not see him going in the first round

I think who gets drafted has alot to do with what positions are needed in the NFL and how many underclassmen come out.

There's not alot of great QB picks they way there were last year and especially the year before. So a less than great QB (not our team obviously) could go hgher than expected.

I suppose the same could happen with some of our position players. I don't know how stocked the NFL is with TE's, or how many top prospects there are greaduating this year.

I think Laws is the only 1st round pick.

Carlson late 2nd round

Zibby early 3rd late 4th at best

I think that is it...Sully undrafted FA

Laws is a Mid 2nd to Early Third

Carlson's combine proformance will make or break him.

Zibby is 2nd Day draft pick

Sully-well, I would say Candian Football League

I'd like Laws to go to the Bengals in the 2nd round, and Carlson to the Bengals in the fourth.

Zibby (as much as I luv him), will be taken by the Bengals in the 6th (because they don't scout), and suffer through a short and miserable career. Although I hope I'm wrong for his sake.

I was thinking pretty much aloing the same line ....
Laws is a mid to late 2nd rounder. Carlson should be a 2nd rounder and Zibby will go somewhere in day 2 (round 4 thru 6).

I bet if he wanted to he could make a ton of money in Boxing and become one of if name the biggest name in the sport.

Carlson will probably go 2nd or 3rd round, but if he does, the Bungles won't get him (they need defense), so I'm hoping for him sliding to fourth. Is that wrong? :)

I think the bengals scouts are starting to check rap sheets. Since none of these guys have colorful priors (that we know of ;) ) I don't think the Bengals are interested.

Chiefs are drafting Laws first round, Zibby Second, Carlson third, Sulli fourth, Latina fifth, Geoff Price sixth, and Lou Holtz in the seventh. I talked to Carl Peterson, this is their plan.

You owe me a new monitor. I spewed coffee all over mine when I read that. reps

Hey now!! The Bungles took Duke and Sanducci last year, and have added Corey Mays since. They're alot better off the field, they just suck on the field.

I think Laws could go late in the first round if the need was there for the teams holding those slots. If not, easy 2nd round pick.

If Carlson can turn in a combine performance equal to or better than Olsen's performance in last year's combine, he could vault back up to a first rounder.

Zibby will go late. I'll guess the 5th round.

Price & Sully will have to settle for FA. Hey, it worked for DWalk after getting cut & re-signed 3 or 4 times.

If Troy Smith can go as a QB, I don't see why Zibby can't. ;)

I know we all love Laws, but right now it would be very surprising if he went in the first round. Right now, everything I've read indicates he's at the very best a second round player and most likely projects lower than that. If he does well at the post-season bowls and workouts, he could move himself up as it would jibe with the numbers and on-field performance this year. I think John Carlson mighth be a better bet to go somewhat high, but he really needs to perform well in workouts as he hasn't had a chance to show much on the field this season with how anemic the offense has been.

Laws is too small to <del>play</del> be drafted as a NT in the NFL, but will probably be drafted late first-early second round by a team that doesn't use the 3-4.

Carlson is pretty much a crap shoot that will largely come down to his workouts and combine performance. Assuming he does well in both, the biggest factor affecting where he goes will be teams' needs. He could go pretty much anywhere on the first day depending on how badly teams want a TE. Either way he'll probably be the 1st or 2nd TE drafted, assuming he does well at the combine and pro workouts.

Laws and Carlson are possibly the only two players this year who will get drafted at all and I havea sinking feeling that neither one will be a day one selection...

Laws will go in the early third round and just may go on to a better career in the NFL than the relentlessly hyped Glenn Dorsey (who will probably be about as good a pro as another LSU DT - Claude Wroten).

Sullivan won't be drafted and will struggle to make a camp roster beyond the first round of cuts.

Carlson will be a 5th or 6th rounder to a team like New England and would be a great player for them.

Zibby better start bulking up and work on that boxing career because his last football game is going to be on Saturday at Stanford...

The rest of the departing players? Well, at least they all have degrees to fall back on now instead of being tossed onto the scrap pile after exhausting their eligibility.

I disagree, if Zibby wants to he can play in the league. Backup safety, special teams guy, no doubt if he wants to he can, but boxing may be a more lucrative option.

Agreed, just look what kind of an impact Devin Hester has had on the Bears, I'm not comparing Zib 2 him but Zibby just seems to have a great feel for returning punts and is fearless!

I don't think he's quick enough at the pro level to return punts, but who knows. He'll make a practice squad at least.

Laws is surely a 2nd rounder after this year he's had
Carlson is a 4th rounder, Possible 3rd if he runs well at the combine
Sullivan is a 5th round Santucci type of pick
Zibby could go anywhere from the 3rd (Stu Schwiegert) to the 6th (Matt Giordiano) depending on combine #s. Mediocre as a group, but none of them lack any national exposure
