ha, my first thought was bugs bunny. Reps
My point guys is why would you go anywhere else to play baseball than Stanford? You get to play in a Top 5 program and you might mess around and get possibly the best degree in the country if the baseball thing doesn't work out.
And I can confirm he's a player. Just spoke with a PAC baseball coach and he said... stud.
Let's see. Get drafted and get a nice salary and signing bonus for throwing a ball, or go to college and fight off guys trying to knock you down while throwing your body at someone for three years with risk to injury and no pay (SEC exception)?
Yep, FB at ND it is.
I'd go to Stanford for baseball for sure, all things being equal. However Florida tends to get its share of pitchers as well. Their staff a couple of years ago was 3-4 deep, with multiple 1st rounders. As you get lower and lower on the list of NCAA sports (in terms of funding), the coaching staff increases in importance. How the heck did Indiana get the nation's premier soccer program and swimming program (this is some time ago, I don't know if it's still the case, think Mark Spitz)? They hired the best coach in the country for each sport.

Yeah, I was like... are these guys so young that they don't know what "a maroon" is.
Of course THEN #1 shows up. Should've used a Charlie Chaplin gif for him.
True...especially a pitcher when you consider Stanford’s history. However, he can get the team that drafts him to agree to pay his tuition to the college of his choice as part of his contract.
Really depends on the money he’s offered from MLB if drafted. I have buddies who didn’t get drafted high that regretted not going the college route. But the ones who got huge bonus money had no regrets.
Truly awesome for the young man. What kind of money does that pay these days?
Damn, that’s almost NIL money right there. The 17th pick last year signed for $4.6M
the next Bubba StarlingDoesn't look like he'll make it to LSU. The MLB.com mock has him going #17 to the Phillies
LSU's Jay Johnson almost pulled off the wire to wire win by offering him in 7th grade when he was the Arizona HC and getting him to sign with LSU.
Will always be in my Hudl Hall of Fame with Jake Ratzlaff & Tackett Curtis.
