Is Evers planning on signing on Wednesday? I feel like if he waits until February we got a better chance.

I would think we need him to wait if we want to land him. With him not visiting this weekend and heading to OU instead, it would seem impossible to get a commitment from him on Wednesday. With that said, he could visit early in the week and wait to sign on Thursday or Friday. But that’s just spitballing.

I really really like Nick Evers’ film. He reminds me of a taller Everett Golson with a little more touch on his throws. Willingness to step up into a closing pocket, big enough arm to throw across the field, but a ton of speed to really hurt you on the ground. I’d be thrilled to add him to the class

keep going, keep going...I'm also most there

With Schrauth, ND now has 18 4 & 5 star commits. Incredibly deep class. A DB like Moore really in the only missing piece.

Agreed.

I don't subscribe to the must get term in recruiting as far as individual players go. But, I do as far as position group/s. And, while I'm quite high on the DB's of the last two classes, we need more diversity in skillset. Without Moore, over the last 2 classes, only 2 of the 8 DB's will be over 6'. Only one over 6'1. That's very limiting as far as the future of the room goes and possible transitions to S. We need more length in this class and without Moore or someone like Moore we don't have it. I think Bellamy's speed can make him a rangy FS but he's short so I'm interested in how that transition goes. Crawford was a honey badger of sorts but also wasn't making the, deep, hash to hash, plays like we've seen from Hamilton and recently from Henderson. I don't know if Henderson gets that pick if he's 5-10.

Daylan Everette just decommitted from Clemson, so taking a run at him would be nice.

Surprised to see Hayes Fawcett is employed by on3 now and doing more than just edits.

just a question on "must gets" What happens if you
don't get
a ":must get"

Do you just disband the program?

great call on Crawford, who, without the injuries, may indeed have been a Honey Badger.

Wow - that's three defensive decommitts this week for Clemson. We need to count our blessings...

Losing a few receivers would be awful but it's nothing compared to the way some of these classes across the country are imploding. Very lucky, indeed.

Wonder what would've happened to the '22 and '23 class if BK had stayed but Freeman had left.

Keeping the staff and the staff recruiting their asses off to keep this class is very very good for us.

Does anyone know of any non ND commits who are not signing during the ESP that ND could circle back to?

Those are the weekends to host recruits between the end of the season and Feb signing day. As for guys that could be post-Dec recruits that’s an interesting question. It’s hard to say but I’m sure there will be some surprise non-signings in Dec and maybe ND circles back for an additional RB, WR, DL or DB. ND has 4 RB scholarships for next year (Tyree, Estime, Diggs, Price, I think C’Bo is done at ND) so maybe they think they could use another if a good one popped up in the spring not signed. WR they’ve got maybe 10 scholarships if all the old guys stay and the freshmen all sign. I think theyll keep looking and maybe go in the portal if they can to find some talent. DL I actually don’t think they’ll go for more because they’re at 18 dudes and idk how many will leave through attrition. DB’s they’ve got 20 scholarships projected to return which is enormous but I think it’s a position that both Kelly and Freeman will have the same philosophy of you can never have too many good DB’s. If someone doesn’t sign or wavers then I think ND will be in position to recruit them. Exciting times! December signing will be huge!

So would anyone be kind enough to give a quick assessment of how Freeman’s hiring has impacted recruiting, if at all, to this early stage?? I took a bit of a sabbatical due to work

Short term, it's allowed us to keep this class together. The only players we're in danger of losing are the guys that were already wavering. It probably got us Schrauth also, as he's openly said he was not a big Kelly fan.

Long term, we'll see. Got a good response to the hiring from some of our top targets in '23.

I would go as far as to say this class will be better than it would’ve been if Kelly stayed.

Scrauth was going to Wisconsin. I’m sure not every recruit will be so outspoken about it but he said point blank Kelly no bueno, MFMF bueno.

If the WRs stick and/or Moore recommits, you have to think MFMF secured them too because they were trending away even when Kelly was still around.

Having a head coach that will communicate with recruits is helpful. Who would’ve thought.

Thoughts / comments on that picture?

I'll start:

How short is Gobiara or does he simply have horrendous posture?

When you come up with Gobiara's height, subtract 2" for Ford...

Who's next?

With GeauxAwayBK in LA, is Donnie Donuts the next Marc Edwards? Has the FB returned to ND?

How is Ashton Craig on his tippy toes and still 2" shorter than Joey Tanona?

Oh... Tanona's doing it too, as is Staes.
