The immediate eligibility thing is a problem. They either need to eliminate it OR put a school-side cap on how many transfers a place can take each year at like ~5 as a demand-side solution to the supply problem. Or some other elegant solution. Because the current status quo is unsustainable ESPECIALLY with how coaches can break their contracts and move jobs on a whim.
Allegedly, CFB is heading towards self-governance in ~5 years where a lot of this will be fixed but until then it’s going to be the wild west.
Yeah, but, it must be symmetrical.
This is not a plantation, and if the massas (the coaches, including the assistants) can take off in a nonce, I see you Lincoln and Billy and Brian, than so should the field hands.
Goose sauce gander sauce.
If players must sit out a year, then so should coaches.
'Murica.
my sole asterisk, Lax is that it is already the Wild Wild West.
And I think that Riley at USC and Sark at Texas are going to hang the moon, for good or ill, on NIL
If Harvey Weinstein weren't in the penalty box, then Miramax would already have a deal with Malachi Nelson--and the Branches.
