Alabama linebacker Ale Kaho has entered the NCAA transfer portal.

The news was first reported by Matt Zenitz of Al.com.

During his three seasons at the Capstone, Kaho appeared in 40 games and recorded 33 total tackles, 14 solo stops, three blocked kicks, one fumble recovery and one blocked kick for a touchdown.

He played in 12 games during the Crimson Tide's 2020 national championship run, but mainly on special teams.

Kaho begin his college career at Washington before transferring to Alabama in the fall of 2018 as a late signee. He was considered by most recruiting services as a five-star prospect and one of the top overall players in the 2018 recruiting class.

Georgia has again reached into the transfer portal this offseason and it has landed another defensive back. Dawgs247 has learned that former Clemson cornerback Derion Kendrick is now on his way to Athens and then will join the team officially at some point in the next 24 hours.

Both players also (pretty much confirmed) received "happy meals". Could possibly be the players/school trying to distance themselves from the mess. But, yes, the athletic department is complete overall.

Chez Mellusi is transferring to Wisconsin. That's unfortunate, but I haven't seen much from him to indicate he's a major concern, and Wisconsin has a ton of issues on offense that don't center around RB.

Dale might have a different opinion, but I think Kirby puckers/gets too conservative in big games, and also hasn't been able to figure out the QB situation.

The QB thing is kind of similar to BK/ND, though Ian Book put ND ahead for a moment.

JT Daniels probably solves UGA's QB problem... now it's Kirby's turn to show that he'll let his offense stay aggressive in big games, rather than mismanaging key down/distance situations and letting opponents stick around too long.

I’d agree there are some BK similarities, where I think it gets worse for Kirby is the surrounding pieces are clearly better, let’s call D a wash but he’s had a 1st RD type RB this whole time and a way higher talent level of WR. Some here like Phil J but the “safe” QBs he’s chosen in Fromm and the walk on were in front of CLEAR studs in Fields and Daniels while the overall game plans have also been noticeably conservative to match. Overall I think the criticisms are similar but BKs circumstance might be more difficult whereas Kirby it feels like there’s no excuse for some of the decisions/result
