It's from a Newspaper from his area.....

No pressure for Notre Dame-bound Slaughter

Life is good for Tucker defensive back Jamoris Slaughter, whose summer was highlighted by a commitment to Notre Dame.

“It feels good when I get a lot of people asking me about going to Notre Dame,” Slaughter said. “A lot of people are happy for me.”

Slaughter said his early-summer commitment to the Irish has barely slowed other colleges’ efforts to recruit him.

“I’m still hearing from Michigan, LSU and actually a whole bunch of other schools,” he said. “Now that the coaches can’t text message [due to a new NCAA rule], I’m getting a lot of mail.”

Slaughter plans to attend at least one game in South Bend this fall.

“I’ll go to the Georgia Tech or Southern Cal game,” he said.

The 6-foot-1, 180-pound Slaughter said he only recently discovered the Irish’s rich football history.

“At the beginning, I didn’t really know much about Notre Dame,” he said. “But my parents did.

“Once I found out about their history, that really pulled me toward them.”

-----He's not doing anything wrong. It's a good thing these leeches can't text anymore.

From Rivals (once again, it's not premium):

Irish in his blood: Jamoris Slaughter said he is playing for Notre Dame this year and he hopes to represent them well. He thoroughly enjoyed his visit to South Bend last weekend and says he is one hundred percent committed to Notre Dame.

Via BGI:

Jamoris Slaughter (WR/DB): Slaughter and his teammates having been nothing short of spectacular to start the season. The team sports a record of 4-0 and have outscored their opponents by an astounding 170-0. Slaughter has been a special teams standout, scoring two touchdowns this year as a kick returner.

From ESPN:

Jamoris Slaughter, Notre Dame 2008's staying firm

ESPN's Billy Tucker asked All-American safety Jamoris Slaughter how Notre Dame's Class of 2008 feels about the Irish's 0-3 start. Slaughter brought up several points, all suggesting his fellow commits, specifically defensive tackle Omar Hunter and defensive end Darius Fleming, are still headed to South Bend, Ind.

First, Slaughter said most recruits choose Notre Dame because of the school and education ahead of football.

Secondly, the ESPNU All-American mentioned that several players have suffered through a tough season in high school and aren't necessarily accustomed to winnings.

Additionally, Slaughter stated that his fellow commits have pride in Notre Dame and believe they can right the ship.

Great find.

This just goes to show you that Weis is doing an excellent job recruiting by finding true "Notre Dame Men".

I am not only impressed with the way this kid attacks the ball, but how about the way this kid uses his arms to "wrap up" the ball carrier. This seems to be a lost art with many young defenders. I call this the "SportsCenter" effect. Players seem to think that the highlight film hit is the way to impress the masses rather then make the solid play. Unlike many big-time recruits, it was refreshing to see Slaughter Hit!,Wrap!,Drive! and Takedown! on all his tackles. In the interest of fairness, Jamoris does need a little work getting his head to the proper side on his tackles, but this should be an easy fix for Coach Brown.

They defitently didn't get any yds. after contact when he hit them. That hit on the fumble, that was sweet. Can we bring all of these guys in as EE and start the season already.

All of his stuff makes me think of him as a SS... But I was under the impression that we were bringing him in as a CB. I don't have any of the pay services so I haven't seen much film on him (although he is supposed to be one of the top S in coverage right?) but it seems his best ability is his hit/power. It seems we are really deep at safety... I dunno. Harrison is a FS, right?

Nope he be a SS....with the possibility of playing CB....however, if Gary Gray, Prince, and McNeil come along as CB we shoud see him stay at safety....plus I know for sure that they want R.J. Blanton as a CB!!!! Our secondary is quickly stock piling the players!!!! Can't wait to see them after a year in CB's system!!!!!
