From the sounds of his recent articles where he just stopped mentioning his FAVORITE, Florida it looks as though he might've "tried" to commit to the Gayturds but wasn't on Urbans Unholy 18 list. This could've been the same situation with Sweat when Sweat mentioned the Buckeyes and Gayturds were even, but then Florida fell off out of nowhere. Urban is making alot of friends he must figure he'll leave for the NFL to install his spread offense in about a year haha. Are you talking about Jonus Gray or Carlton Thomas? Although I know the thread is about Gray, the djacent posts were about Thomas.

I have the same thought about Jonas Gray and Andrew Sweat. They both said Florida was the top or one of the top schools, then they visit and suddenly they're not at the top anymore. What a cockwad. And he definately got my vote in the poll.

Jonas is a good kid and a great athlete. I'd be happy if we ended up with him on our roster.

Jonas was scheduled to attend ND's camp at some point this week, but he has been a no show to this point.

Jonas is down to Nebraska, Louisville, Michigan State and Minnesota, and he would like to have a final decision made when he gets back from his school project in Costa Rica. He also said that his recent trip to Nebraska was his best trip yet.

I'm somewhat suprised that Michigan didn't make his final cut since they went ahead and offered him.

Michigan showed him love a little too late and he was sort of turned off by that. His front runners are MSU and Nebraska. I'll go against everybody else and say I picture him going to MSU. Also Michigan added another RB commit today who is a 2* by the way.

I said this in another profile but I figured I'd put it in here too. Jonas is yet another one of the Nebraska verbals that is going to start looking around and taking visits. He said he's still solid on Nebraska and that's where he's going if no coaching changes are made, but he wants to have a plan B in case they are made. He said one of the teams he still hears from on a regular basis is ND and while Jonas never recieved an ND offer he may be the next in line if they strike out with the guys they currently have offered.

Rivals is reporting that Jonas Gray picked up an official offer to ND yesterday. I guess we'll have to wait and see if this pans out to be true or not.

Scout has him listed at 4.35 40yd! He could be the perfect RB to round out this class maybe.

I'm not sure I know that ND didn't offer very many RBs this year, plus I know that some schools were concerned about his vision.

Well since then Carton Thomas has commited to Georgia, and Darrel Scott has eliminated ND, and there are still concerns about weather or not Cyrus Gray has fully academically qualified for ND. So if ND really wants to take at least 1 RB then this would increase their chances.

----It may say that but he has Robert Hughes type speed, maybe a little bit faster. I don't go off of hand timed 40's but you can get a good look at his speed by his tapes.

FWIW theres a rumor on the rivals main board started coincidentally by a USC fan that Gray was offered and has committed to ND. Again take this with a grain of salt.

The reason that he wasn't recruited until late was that nobody truely knew how fast he was. By that time, he wasdown to 2 schools MSU and Neb. His suprising speed is also one of the reasons he is soaring in the prospect rankings.

How does it take schools so long to find out how fats someone is? i think that would be one of the easiest things to evaluate
