I am ever hopeful with Blanton, but this definitely has the setup for a "Brandon Newman" type post-visit letdown. I hope this step-dad poster is right in his assertions, but I wouldn't be surprised at all if Robert decides to wait a little while longer, and do his surface comments about an August timetable some justice. When his parents are the ones having issues about distance, he may want to get them used to the idea, and comfortable with Notre Dame. So, if he doesn't verbal within a week or so, its not a "smoking gun" that he didn't like what he saw, or that the ND ship has sailed.

Who knows. I just really don't care to hear people gripe and get on a kid for not coming on board when we want him to.

Without my post, everyone secretely expects it because his step dad has been selling him out. Blanton has said he will decide very soon and if he doesn't it's not a big deal.

Mike Frank was talking tonight like Blanton was basically without saying it a "lock" and that he was coming up on the 19th for a 5 day trip...5 days is pretty good he said to get a feel of ND and make sure it's the right choice. Keeps sounding better and better for the Blanton situation. It sounds like a make or break trip.

My money is on make. Unless this step-dad poster is completely full of it, I think we'd need Corwin Brown to personally punch Blanton in the stomach for him to get turned off. If he's skipping out on the Michigan camp for this, its pretty apparent that he's sold on ND.

If ND has anyone to worry about at this point it would be VaTech, or UNC, not Michigan. But if his trip goes well I think he'll be Irish by the end of the month.

I'm hearing rumblings about Blantons step dad saying how Blantons recruitment is now a "Case Closed" one. Basically that he's all ND by this week, it's coming from the II board does anybody know anything he is spewing out?

there has been some posters over on rivals who are not happy with some of rb's stepfather's commetts about nd!i have to agree i was not happy with somethings (to put it mildly)we don't know who is on these boards.

I haven't read any comments from posters recently that say they aren't happy with what he says. In fact, it's getting everyone really excited.

I think Blanton will do fine at ND. If Kyle McCarthy truly wants to go to ND he needs to get off this hard to get kick and commit. He'll soon find there's no room at the inn for him. If he hasn't made up his mind by now, then I question if he will ever make a decision without someone else to help him.

I think by the end of the year we will get Blanton, McCarthy, and Slaughter

pretty solid group

I'm hearing now that Blanton will "Definently" commit on his visit. Most of us new this, but apparently now it's only a matter of time until he accually seals the deal while he's in SB.

The mods at 4HL have said that Blanton is on campus and will be committing today or tomorrow. He is scheduled to meet with admissions today and then commit to the Irish right after. START THE COUNTDOWN............:countdown

Now I'm getting worried though because even Farrell is saying that Blanton will commit to ND on this visit. Seems as though somebody woke him up, and told him to read his e-mails.

Party's going to have to wait until tomorrow around 3 P.M. EST.

In the meantime, better lock up the women & children, Drama & Ari are out on the town.
