Rivals does not list anyone specifically as McDonald's recruiting coach, but all of his communication with ND seems to be going through Corwin Brown. It's only March 6, but McDonald is now talking like he will almost certainly verbal commit to ND when he makes his unofficial visit in mid-April. Hopefully he will not receive an offer from the Poodle in the interim to cloud his judgement.

Just because McDonald commits in April would not necessarily stop Carroll from offering. I want McDonald because he wants to come to ND, not because USC didn't offer.

gallup21 has a nice interview with him up on his site. Based on him comments, looks like a ND lock. I expect a commit in April

yeah it's pretty rediculous how much love he has for them, but USC did lose out on their top LB prospect in Cali and now they'll problably be going after him hard. Hopefully he'll realize that he was ND's first priority and not his home states.

I heard from another forum that a writer, Pete or something said (before the Cwynar commit) that the people most likely to commit to us sooner rather than later would be Cwynar, Filer, Rudolph, and McDonald. Well since then Cwynar has commited, Rudolph named us his leader and McDonald states the obvious. Now that Filer plays the recruiting game just like his personality, that has to be a good sign that all 4 are looking good SO FAR

Great interview Nick! I'd say it's all but official after that. Here's the things that stuck out to me the most...

Either is fine by me. We play a hybrid of both here at Notre Dame H.S. I do look forward to playing Coach Browns 3 - 4.

Enough to make a decision.

9) If you could choose a top 5, which schools would it include?
Not sure I want everyone to know who the competition is. That being said I think it is safe to say that Notre Dame is number 1. I will be out April 11 - 14 with family to see the school and visit with Coach Weis & Brown and others. I don't think a lot of people know but my Dad's side of the family is from Plymouth.

Gallup is legit. He does all kinds of interviews and he's a site mod on another ND site. If Gallup says it's legit, it's legit. He's straight.

So far, he has been upfront on his few failings, and forthcoming with any needed explanations. He appears 100% legit to me, and I think he's doing a good job. A hardworking, honest reporter is just what journalism needs today.

FleaFlicker, im guessing you heard that from the II premium board. I heard that too. You can tell those guys over there this. I'll give them my mom and dad's email, and they can hear from them its real. You can ask Mr. Frazer, Zach's dad...he's met me and he knows their real. He's given me permission in the past to give his email out for clarification to check if anyone doubts the interviews authenticy. These are real...just because its not coming from a 40-year old who sits on his computer all day, tracking 17-year olds kids lives, watching their every move, and making people pay for the info does not mean its not legit. In fact, I'll have whoever doubts it know that I called Ian and found he was solid on ND at least 15 minutes before Mike Frank, Pete Sampson, or any of those guys thought of talking to Ian instead of speculating. I just got the interview later because it was about 8 Pm and Ian was busy with hw. So you can tell the II premium guys theyll have to go through Ian and Sam first before they start getting to my head.
