I am not a liberal. For the love of all that is good. I am not to be classified into a wishy washy group such as moveon.org. Those pansies have not got it in them to do what i think needs to be done. And yes, anyone who believes in god is ignornant and most likely brainwashed.

Yeah..... that's methane, not carbon dioxide. The largest contributor to carbon dioxide is probably exhalation or large scale deforestation and forest fires. The reason why cows are a large producer of green house gasses is because to support the growing fast food burger industry there has been a lot of clearing of forests to create grazing lands for a lot of cow-farms and what not. More burgers means more cows means more methane.

How about just this winter? December in massachusetts is usually pretty cold, and well, it wasn't. Some flowers started to sprout and whatnot, what do you think caused that warm streak? Or in January where we received 2" of snow, when the average is over 20"? Even if this isn't global warming and merely a warming trend, it shouldn't be happening this rapidly. Global climate change happens over centuries, not decades.

Just to go and clear some more things up:

Regardless of whether or not O'Reilly is a traditionalist or a republican, he's still bad. When in response to a boycott on his book "The No Spin Zone", he said "just because you don't like me doesn't mean you shouldn't take it out on my book." How about how he invites people on his show and then interrupts them or cuts their mic if they make a good point so he can just harass them more? It's sensationalism, being passed of for political discourse.

Al Gore is for being responsible with energy and emissions. That has a lot more to do with driving a prius than owning a small house. You can own a big house and spend a lot to heat it, but no one's said how he heats his home.

Why do people start off their posts with "I'm not a democrat"? Well, probably because you've made "democrat" and "liberal" dirty words, things to be avoided, rather than promoters of humanitarianism and equal rights, basic things that were foundations for things like the declaration of independence.

People also point fingers at liberalism as soft on foreign policy or war or some crap like that, but keep in mind that it was a liberal that in WWI defeated Germany, Austria, and the Ottoman Empire. It was again a Liberal defeated Nazi Germany, facist Italy, AND Japan, not only that, but occupied all three without an insurgency or resistance force arising, and he did all of this from a wheelchair. Not only did FDR save America from the face of facism and right-wing totalitarians but also from the Great Depression, building a strong economy and established the US as a dominant military and economic force in the world. Keep in mind that during the cold war, the Stalinism adopted by the USSR was very much a right wing ideal, similar to Mussolini, Hitler, and Pinochet, only without capitalism as an economic force, whereas McCarthyist republicans try to paint a picture of Democrats as "liberal commie pinkos". Ever since Teddy Roosevelt, you'd be hard pressed to find a Republican President who definitively won a war. FDR's successor, Truman, with international help won the Korean war. Then Eisenhower got us involved in Vietnam and Nixon was forced to admit political defeat and withdraw after almost 20 years of war. Bush I won the first gulf war with international help. Clinton as well used international help to resolve situations in Bosnia and Kosovo. Then Bush II starts gulf war II without international help with no end in sight and any likely resolution turning out bad for the US and worse for the middle east.

I don't understand how anyone with any sort of concept of recent US history can paint a picture of Democrats and Liberals being unable to fight a war. The only difference that I can see is that Democrats view war as a last resort and use the international community to help win whereas Republicans use brute force and a show of military strength to force the country into an awkward situation where strong parallels to vietnam can be drawn.

If the stereotypical democrat solution is to throw money at it, the stereotypical republican solution is to throw troops at it.

I'm not saying that Democrats are perfect and good or whatever, there's a fair amount of corruption that's pervasive throughout the whole political system, but if you want to point fingers at flip floppers and wishy washyness, Bush has a fairly interesting record, as does a large number of senators.

Umm just so you know 98% of the ice caps is expanding and only 2% is declining. The part that is declining is that peninsula area. I forget what it is called though. If you guys are so worked up on "global warming is the end" maybe look at all sources not just cnn
