Patterson narrowed her college search to four schools: Notre Dame, St. John's, Tennessee and Virginia.

Patterson grew up a Tennessee fan -- Candace Parker is her favorite player -- and St. John's is her hometown team. Patterson has visited St. John's and Virginia and plans to tour Notre Dame and Tennessee in the fall.

"I'm very comfortable with the four schools on my list," Patterson said. "Those four coaching staffs have known me for a while. St. John's has been watching me since the fifth grade. ... To just put a new school in the loop wouldn't be right."

Aside from being loyal, Patterson is smart. She has a 3.8 GPA and plans to major in sports management. After her playing days are over, she wants to be a coach. But that figures to be many years down the road.

Probably for a lot more $$$ than the WNBA pays.

Here's an article on SEC WBB HC compensation for the 14-15 season. UTN had a $565K guarantee. At UK, the coach had a $1.1 million guarantee. The Fever doesn't pay like that.

I think this is Muffet's most talented and deepest team. Muffet has a very nice blend of experienced players and young, talented players. If they don't win the championship this year, something would have gone horribly wrong. The starting 5 will probably be:

Lindsay Allen- Best PG in the country
Arike Ogunbowale- IMO, could be best scorer in ND history when all said and done.
Marina Mabrey- A better all around player than her older sister.
Brianna Turner- Probably the best player in the country.
Kathryn Westbeld- A nice compliment to Turner and is a very solid #4.

Bench:
Kristina Nelson- Most improved player on the team. If they can get consistent production out of her 6'5" frame, watch out.
Ali Patberg: Coming off a torn ACL. She is the future replacement when Allen graduates. Was a big time recruit in high school.
Jackie Young- True freshman and former 5:s: recruit. Indiana's all-time leading scorer for both men's and women's basketball combined.
Erin Boley: Another true freshman and former 5:s: recruit. Similar build to Westbeld but I have heard she is a better scorer.
Mychal Johnson: One of Muffet's best perimeter defenders. She won't light up the score board but players like her are very important in March.

It looks like the defense is greatly improved this year, last year we were often just outscoring teams. Hopefully that continues- that is what it will take to win a title.

Really interested to see how she does. Saw her play against my granddaughter a couple of times and was impressed with her offensive skill set. Good head on her shoulders.
