I know we want to limit their possessions but running the clock down and taking a bad panicked shot is not going to keep up with their offensive firepower.

Farrell got ineffective on offense as soon as they realized he's not going to try to finish one-on-one at the rim. He was really good early running the offense and passing out of his drives.

He's getting stuck with the ball. Both of his last two possessions were because Vasturia just jogged in a straight line trying to get the ball, with Jackson denying.

If I'm Brey, I'm running the high pick and roll with VJ/DJ combo until they either start doubling the ball, or go small. Either way, it's a win for us (if we keep hitting shots).

Um, I'm pretty sure the burn offense was the bigger problem.

We were matching them with points. Why not keep going and try and get some stops. Also, who runs a burn while behind and unable to get stops?

Farrell's actually played pretty well in my opinion. The name of the game against North Carolina is spread the floor, he's helping the offense do that.

It's pretty clear Brey knows he has a second-half squad and wanted to just limit North Carolina's possessions. If you would have offered me a five-point deficit at half this morning, I'd gave taken it in an instant.

Let's see if Auguste can help mitigate their offense and get ND to the first Final Four in my lifetime.

It was as good as first half you could ask for. E need some better defense in the second to have a chance. I find it hard to believe that they shot that good in the 2nd half.

All of this. My question is though, why kneel it out til halftime?

We were benefiting equally from the tempo. What made brey think we're better off taking a 5 point loss into halftime, rather than going for the lead?

I don't like how conservative it was. Sure, it wouldn't have been so bad if we scored out of it, but we didn't...
