If it leads to more accurate and consistent rulings, I'm all for it.

You must have missed the Super Bowl. Not sure how that one call was ruled incomplete.

Yeah, I couldn't figure that call out either. It looked like a completion beyond any doubt. I think the instant replay/review guys do a great job usually, but every once in awhile they leave you scratching your head wondering what they were looking at.

They got that one right according to the rules. If you watched the last view they showed the bal clearly left his hand after the tip hit the ground in the other view.

Yep, it hit the ground and then afterwards bobbled around. By their rules its not a catch, although i think the rules should be simplified

If adapted for home games, does ND:
1. Pay the ACC to use their war room?
2. Set up their own room using NBC feeds?
3. Set something up at NBC studios with ND paid replay refs?

I assume rules will be established on the minimum and maximum number of cameras to be used at a game and their positions around the field to provide continuity.

I hate instant replay. It ruins the flow of the game, they still get calls wrong on a regular basis, and it is used as a crutch for the referees to not be as accurate.

The other thing is, replay has ruined what a catch is. When you completely slow down every single catch attempt with the incredible cameras that are used, you can scrutinize every single one for a bobble here or a toe touching there. I hate it. If it looks like a freaking amazing play at live speed, it's a catch!

Just another pressure point to make ND join a conference....

Makes sense. But the targeting is a joke as well. Sissy ball

Totally agree. I would rather them scrap the instant replay and make a catch easier to determine. Which means, two feet on the ground and the ball doesn't touch it. Just simplify the damn thing. Enough of the "football move" and the like. If it looks like a catch, then lets just go with it.

I've heard several people say this. It looked to me that he had his hand under the ball. Of course, when Mike Carey said it was a catch on the telecast I knew it would be ruled incomplete. I may have missed the angle that showed the ball hit the turf, I had too many people at the house at the time.
