I see that you Indiana boys are getting hit with some more snow. In an extremely unusual turn of events, (no doubt due to Global Warming:wink:) we in Southern New England have been very fortunate this winter to have thus far avoided any measurable snow fall. However, the weather gods are telling us that our good times are about to end in a particularly nasty, windy, icy, and snowy (more than a foot) way. Just how bad is it out in Our Lady's country? How much snow is on the ground on campus?, and who else is buried, or soon to be, in the white stuff. (and I don't mean the coca Montana!)

Here in Ohio is pretty much the same, snow, sleet, ice. Allowing me to stay home and respond to all the posts. God help the rest of you on here!

Predicted 6-12 inches in South Bend today, with a Winter Storm advisory. I'd say we have about a foot on the ground already, not counting the storm.

Well, let's see. They predicted 18" of snowfall today, and I can't hardly see any thing outside. It's been snowing not stop from at least 9:30am, because that's when I got up, but at least it's small powdery flakes, not big heavy wet ones.

I should probably go clean off the drive way but I'm still frozen from helping one of my bestfriend's grandpa (Our Church's Bishop, and Sr.Pastor) move from 8:00pm - 12:30am this morning then we stayed up and talked and ate dinner untill 2:15 in the morning.

I am so ready for spring!

yeah we get everything that southern GA gets. Its about to start raining in a little, but seriously, since november when it stopped being 73 everday and all night, it has been 50-65 in the day and 35-45 at night. not bad at all and you can still get out on the water. I was fishing near Ft. Sumter in the harbor this past weekend. Caught a 6 lb flounder. Ate him too.

This has been a very warm winter for us this year. less rain than normal and higher temps than normal. We have two seasons here. slightly cold and rainy and super freaking hot and rainy.

Garages and snowblowers. Some people also get a small plow to put on their truck, riding lawn mower, or 4-wheelers if they have a long driveway.

I'm just guessing we heard different reports at different times, from seperate sources. I actually didn't listen to the weather. My friend that I was helping move said they predicted 18" today, and that's why we went ahead and helped his grandpa move last night.

It usually gets worse the closer you get to Lake Michigan, not the other way around.

I agree that it has been extremly warm this year and after hearing the temps up there it really doesn't get cold down here at all.

I bet that was some good fish. I plan on going this weekend if the weather is ok.

The first part of winter was really warm here too. We really only had about one significant snow fall untill about a month ago, and we were still playing football outside in shorts and sweatshirts/long sleeve t-shirts up untill Christmas. It just started getting really bad about three weeks ago with these stupid Canadian artic blasts.

Bastard! Although im coming to myrtle in august, stay off the roads!! LOL

Since they have torn down the Pavillion, there is nothing to do but golf. I have always said, that if they would put a nascar track and legalize gambling in Myrtle Beach, SC would be the richest state in the south in no time. but no one listens to me.

the best time to come down is in october. The water is still 80 degrees and the rain dies down and there are no tourists. just locals. Wildlife festival is also great.
