Biscotti is for breakfast. Therefore I should drink Vin Santo for breakfast.

Hopslam day in Michigan! Got me a six pack and a mini keg. Anyone have any experience with the Hopslam mini keg? I've heard 3 days after opening is what to expect from a freshness perspective. Thoughts?

Iron John's I Don't Give A Damn American Stout. Pretty good for a local place, aged with bourbon soaked wood chips.

I can't speak for Hopslam but I find that most mini kegs last closer to 24-48 hours once tapped. After that the carbonation seems to fade pretty quick.

I also bought a bomber of Stone Enjoy By Unfiltered 2.14.16 today. Will open it tomorrow to see how it tastes.

Bells Hopslam. I'm not trying to make some people jealous but we seem to have more of this than we need here.

You know, I love Michigan (or at least parts of it). But I don't understand why it's so hard to get a good import around here. As far as I'm concerned, any brewery trying to make a good hefe outside Bavaria is wasting its time (I appreciate the attempt though). But unfortunately, the best I can get here is The Hef by Frankenmuth. It's good, but not GOOD, you feel me?

I understand. I find fault with pretty much all wheat beers that I've had brewed in the US. Live Oak is the exception rather than the rule. I think I've even heard that they source some of their ingredients from Germany/Czech Republic as well, which would explain why it's the only American brewery whose wheat beers I enjoy. Their Weizenbock is on fucking point too.

Disclaimer: I've not had Allagash White and desperately am looking forward to it.

Out of curiosity what do you think of Sierra Nevada Kellerweis?

Allagash White is a Belgian wheat so it is slightly different from a German hefeweizen. Though it is very good and worth trying.

To be honest, I'm not sure if I've ever had the Kellerweis
