BGI spoke with his coach. More of what we already know. Family about academics. It's down to Duke and ND. Dad likes ND because it's the bet of both worlds. His coach says that he's every bit of 6'6 close to 6'7. OV Jan. 15th.

May be in the mjnority here but I hope he is one of the 6 we land! Love his length and motor and we have the depth to let him redshirt and grow into his body and develope before we need him to play

I agree. Plus I'm always skeptical we land the full 25, even though we are in good position with quite a few guys. Good news, his visit is set for the 15th of January so quite a few guys will have decided by then. I get this sense this is being set up well by the staff.

When he originally committed to UT he commented that he liked the idea of playing college football on a large stage. That won't happen at Duke, only ND. In an interview with the AJC he said "I tend to have a short temper when it comes to football. I'm supposed to be a vocal leader and I take up that role."

Don't think we ever really pursued him all that much. Not a surprise to me. Probably knew the Duke coaches well.

Darn, wonder if he still visits....in the middle of a January lake-affect blizzard? Can't blame him choosing Duke... team on the rise, closer to home, good academics, earlier opportunities for playing, no long cold winters.

Coach told Rivals that they are unsure if he'll take the visit but it could still happen.

I hope he visits. I wonder if committing to Duke so quickly was at least partially because he wanted to make sure he had a spot. Don't get me wrong, Duke is great academically and improving as a program for Football but getting forced out at Tenn probably made him a little uncomfortable with not being committed to someone at this point.

This was my initial thought as well.
