I don't think us jumping Clemson if they lose is that unfathomable. We lost to them by two, on the road, in a hurricane, where we handed it to them on a silver platter. And they would have lost at home to a team that lost to a team we beat.

I don't think it's unthinkable, but I think it's the wrong place for them to lose. If they lose but still get to the ACC championship game, they'll jump us by the end of the season for sure. If they lose in the ACC championship game on the other hand, I think we go ahead of them if we just beat Stanford.

If they lose in the ACC championship game on the other hand, I think we go ahead of them if we just beat Stanford.

They wouldn't get to the ACC Champ game. FSU would (if they win today) unless they somehow lose at home against NC State next week. That's their final ACC game and they'd hold the tiebreaker over Clemson for their division.

For people who want Clemson to lose today...what would your argument be for putting ND over Clemson? Also, where would you rank FSU? They'll have a win at Clemson on their resume...something we failed to do. Honestly, if that were to happen, I think FSU and Clemson would both be ahead of us next week.
