He's Will Fuller production out of Davaris Daniels' body.

Screens, deep routes, over the middle... he does it all and if you watch his tapes you will see why he racks up huge YAC, he immediately turns up field with a burst. He doesn't hesitate, gather, wait for a hit, he catches and is gone simultaneously. He attacks defenders. Very TO or Dez like.

The combination of his route running, timing and body control are special. He makes his 5-9, dual threat QB look like an All American.

per wiltfong--he believes the washington may lead and are recruiting him the hardest..we are still in it along w/ ucla...the ucla draw is close to him and rosen at qb...big thing is the usc game...his whole family is coming for this as he knows what the campus looks like along w/ academics but wants to see the atmosphere..

I was just going to mentioned Washington and Coach Pete, he had a great visit there. Also, nice upside with Browning and early PT most likely.

Wiltfong swapped his CB to foggy

This is the problem. If NSD was tomorrow, I'd bet he goes to U Dub.

You have to feel Peterson and his Boise staff are going to get it going there. Browning was a coup at QB. Statistically, isn't he the greatest QB in HS history?

Sorry guys but really, Jake Browning? He only has 996 yds., 5Td's, and 4 INT's through 4 games. So he's averaging roughly 250yd/game, 1 TD, and 1 INT. Cal has a terrible defense and he was 17-29 152 yards 0TD's and 2 INT's.

He might someday be good but if thats there pitch, I really hope Javon is smarter than that.

No one said he is lighting it up. The flip side is that Browning almost led them back against BSU. The kid has shown flashes and has a young team around him. Something McKinley might like is they are playing a lot of young talent this year. If McKinley is smart he also sees the growth and future potential at UW.

Sure, I want him at ND but UW isn't foolish.

The same could be said for a lot of mediocre college football teams.

Lets say that the 3 schools in contention are UCLA, ND, and UW. UW has the worst QB situation and the least amount of young talent. .

I watch UW a lot because of family connections, the entire offensive line except for the center is either a true freshman or redshirt freshman, maybe a RS sophomore. Browning's troubles are protection related. He also had some nice throws and poor sacks (didn't throw the ball away and tried to scramble out of pressure) against Cal, typical young mistakes that you expect out of a TRUE frosh. The UW defense is good but they are lacking receiver depth and going to graduate one of their starters. He missed a RB on a wheel route that would have made the game winning TD against Cal. The handcuffs were on against BSU in the early going.

Coach Pete is a good guy - just because this kid is considering UW does not mean he is throwing his future away. I want him Irish too, but every indication is that the UW coaching staff are a bunch of really solid people. If we really look ourselves in the mirror and want kids to consider the best for their future, if they don't pick ND, I'd rather them go to a place with a good coaching staff instead of one that is known for chewing kids up and spitting them out when they don't "fit."

Whoa slow down there big guy, putting a lot of words in my mouth here.

1. Never said anything about the coaches character.

2. Nobody said anything remotely close to "throwing away his future."
The statement was if thats the rationale for going there I don't think its a smart one or it could be smarter. Which I'll stand by, comparatively speaking to his other choices they have the worst situation of the bunch. Also, if the decision was I want to go to UW because I love Seattle, I'd say great, so do I. I was simply pointing out that was weak rationale for choosing the school.

3. Again, nobody said anything about the coaching staff so now you are talking with yourself.

Lastly, I'd much rather have him at UW than UCLA but that has nothing to do with what my statement was about.

It's an online message board and I'm just putting together a bunch of disconnected thoughts in the middle of an otherwise slow work day. Not much to be made about my statements, and certainly not intended to be critique of your opinion nor of others. Based on my sign up date and today's date, I'm just finding ways to contribute to a discussion when I feel like I have something to contribute instead of lurking. But again, mostly some stream on consciousness writing.

- I like this kid, he would be very good at ND
- I watch UW more than most of the posters here, so I think can offer some insight below:
- Only counterpoint to you would be that I think Browning's numbers are deceiving and trying to offer more context (OL play, protection, rookie mistakes)
- I think there is legit potential at UW, Browning will get better. They did more with less at BSU. Seriously, Jared Z (sp?) and Kellen Moore are not the same caliber of talent. Piggybacking on NDCrusader's comment about coaching staff which I neglected to quote
- He probably would see field earlier at UW than at ND
- Please not UCLA
- Yes, opinion on coach's character is tangential and I put that there on my own accord, I personally think it matters highly to a kid and family. Jim Mora vs Chris Petersen is a no-brainer (especially if you consider how Steve Sarkisian's character was at UW and now at USC, brought them back from winless seasons, but it was definitely time to go).
- Clearly I think CBK and crew has demonstrated time and time again that they would be great for this and every other kid
- Go Irish

Cheers all and have a nice day.

Corona (Calif.) Centennial wide out Javon McKinley

Husky reciever Javon McKinley has already visited Washington and took his second official visit of the year this past weekend to Tennessee.

"I had a great time, I had a lot of fun there," McKinley said. "The best part of the visit for me had to be the game. I've never seen a game atmosphere like that ever, it was hands down the loudest, craziest game atmosphere I've ever experienced.

"I've never seen a crowd that in to a game. They were signing their song 'Rocky Top' all game long and every third down, every one got on their feet and was going crazy.

"The best part and my mom actually filmed it with her phone, a guy ran on to the field after the game and a security guard just leveled him. It was a perfect form tackle, he must have been a former player because he drilled him, it was hilarious."

McKinley was hosted by Vol freshman Vincent Perry and said he clicked really well with all the players.

"I liked the guys on the team a lot," McKinley said. "Vincent took me out and showed me a good time. I didn't get a lot of sleep this weekend but it's fine, I'm able to sleep on planes. The weather was nice, it actually felt good to get out of the heat and the campus is really nice as well.

"It's a huge campus and the city and campus just kind of blend in together. There's so much to see there and I don't think we had a chance to see everything but the football facilities were really impressive. It's a cool set up with the weight room and then the coaches office overlooking the indoor facility. I saw some of the academic buildings and the dorms and felt very comfortable there all weekend."

On Sunday, McKinley was able to talk with the Vol coaching staff before heading home.

"Sunday I had to chance to sit down with Coach Jones and the staff," McKinley said. "My parents were with me and we all had a chance to ask all our questions. Coach Jones said they need receivers badly and there's definitely a chance to play early.

"There were a lot of recruits there on official and unofficial visits. I think there was supposed to be a lot more but a few visits got re-scheduled and others had to cancel but it was still a really good group and we all had a good time together. I talked a little with Sheriron Jones and he told me he's very happy there and it has been a smooth adjustment for him coming from California.

"I was the last one to go home on Sunday and I was pretty exhausted by end of the visit. I met some great people and liked it there a lot. I can definitely see myself at Tennessee, it's a great place and I loved the players so overall, it was a very positive visit."

Up next for McKinley will be a visit to Notre Dame this coming weekend (Oct. 17) followed by a visit to Oregon (Nov. 7). UCLA will likely be his last visit sometime in December.

This will be their best chance ever to get the gameday atmosphere. If Saturday doesn't send them chills then he can be a husky for all I care.

My takeaway from the write-up? A degree from the Vols can lead to a job as a security guard at the stadium. :)

Did his ship sail?

I wouldn't say that. I just think leaving the west coast is looking to be harder and harder for him. I would say that its time to start looking seriously at other options while continuing to recruit the heck out of him.

Here's my horrible news Lucky.

I'm throwing the CB to U Dub. Got it from a PAC-12 coach... and all I'll say is he's not a GA at Colorado. It's no secret that I love me some JMc like Koon loved him some GB but unless CBK and Sanford pull a miracle out of the hat, I'm letting go. (grown man sobs as he exits the stage to fading lights)

orona (Calif.) Centennial four-star receiver Javon McKinley took his third official visit, to Notre Dame, and he talked about his trip to South Bend, his next couple visits, timeline for a decision and more...

Corona (Calif.) Centennial receiver Javon McKinley made his way to South Bend over the weekend to take his third official visit, this time taking a trip to Notre Dame.
The four-star had been to Notre Dame in the spring for an unofficial visit and his return visit was an enjoyable one.
"Overall, I had a really good time at Notre Dame," said McKinley. "I liked getting back out there. What I was looking forward to was interaction with the players. I never got that on my previous visits and I did this time."
A former B2G 7v7 teammate was his host on the visit.
"Equanimeous (St. Brown), was my host and we talked with a lot of the other players. Every player at Notre Dame from out of state likes it there," said McKinley. "They say it gets cold but that you can adapt to it and the next thing you know, you won't even notice it."
Notre Dame's quarterback commit, Ian Book, is a California native like McKinley and he also spent time working on McKinley.
"The only one who was really trying to recruit me all weekend (from the commits) was Ian Book," said McKinley. "He definitely tries to get me to come to Notre Dame."
McKinley met with head coach Brian Kelly, receivers coach Mike Denbrock, who's recruiting him, as well as offensive coordinator Mike Sanford.
"Coach Kelly seems like a really cool guy," said McKinley. "If I went to Notre Dame, I wouldn't have a problem being coached up by him."
On his previous trip, McKinley saw much of the school, so the weekend was more about spending time with the players and learning more from the coaches.
"The campus and facilities stood out to me on my first visit so nothing they showed me really was different and they did really well showing me everything the first time I was there," said McKinley.
McKinley was joined by his parents on the visit and they too enjoyed the trip.
"My parents have always been a fan of Notre Dame," said McKinley. "Notre Dame, Washington and UCLA, those are their favorite shcools of mine and going out to Notre Dame, they really enjoyed it."
McKinley previously visited Tennessee and Washington and will visit Oregon next month and UCLA in December.
"I'm going to Oregon on November 7th (when they play Cal) and then I'm going to UCLA in early December," said McKinley. "I'm planning to announce at the Army Bowl."
Oregon has had some recent success at Centennial and that's not gone unnoticed by McKinley.
"I look at Oregon like that because they've had a very good thing with players from Centennial, but they also have a good thing with all their players," said McKinley.
UCLA will get the last visit from McKinley and the local school would love to keep him close to home.
"Coach Yarbs (Eric Yarber) is who's recruiting me and with Josh Rosen and some receivers graduating, that's a possibility for me going there," said McKinley. "I might be going to the game tomorrow night (against Cal)."
Washington had McKinley in for a visit in September and they continue to prioritize him.
"Coach (Brent) Pease and Coach Pete (Chris Petersen) are recruiting me mainly and Coach (Keith) Bhonapha (who recruits the Inland Empire) too," said McKinley.
With McKinley focused on five schools, the three he's visited and the two he's planning to, he's not grown too tired of the process yet.
"There is a pretty good balance," said McKinley. "I've narrowed it down to five schools so there is not the hassle."
Centennial is ranked No. 3 nationally by Scout and plays crosstown rival Corona (Calif.) Santiago this weekend.
On the year, McKinley has 25 receptions for 576 yards and seven touchdowns.

Not sure how to take this bolded part. Normally our commits know who the staff wants and show them love and the importance of their commitment to ND. Yet, the only one actively recruiting him to come to ND is Book. Hmmm....
