BC making that kick in 93... it's all been down hill from there for this young man

There have been plays that opponents made that may have made your life miserable but the worse play in ND history was Willingham calling for a punt from the opponent's 30 yard line!

I think pretty much everything he did was poor.

I totally agree with the '93 BC kick. There hasn't been a more devastating loss than that one that I can think of...obviously last year's loss to USC was bad, but our team in '93 was a dominating team in the top of college football and we lost to an unranked opponent on his career long FG...grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!!!!

The Bush Push has not replaced the '93 kick in my opinion because I think we were front-runners for the National Championship that year. In last year's USC game, we were the underdog looking to upset someone. It's more devastating to lose to an opponent that is not our your level rather than losing to a talented team.

I'd agree, but I think it would be in a tie with the celebration penalty that allowed the Eagles to start with decent field position and get them downfield in time to make that kick. When that flag went down, I just knew something bad was going to come of it......

I tend to keep feel the worst pain from the most recent plays like 4th and 9.

Agreed...The Bush Push would not have been a factor if not for giving up the big 4th and 9 play.

Also, Pat Dillingham's interception against BC in '02 was pretty awful. I know that season went down the drain, but who knows what could have been different if we would have gone to play the Trojans undefeated instead of with that one loss.

I have a number that stand out. I am not talking about plays made by the other team, but plays or bad calls made by us.

1. Davie losing to Purdue when we got down to the one yard line and SO mismanaged the clock that time expired before we could win the game. He called some gadget fake audible on the goal line instead of just jamming it in.

2. Plyaing for OT gainst Nebraska at home instead of trying to win.

3. Taking the safety at the end of the game that got our QB hurt.

4. Tyrone punting from the 35 yard line.

The bubble screen from the Willingham era. The team ran that play an average of 267 times a game. Worst play ever. One that also really hurt was when that butthead from Purdue ran a kick back in '04 and started pumping his arm like a choo-choo train on his way to the end zone. Embarrassing.

I think it was against BC in Willingham's first year. When we wore green (8-0 record) and Dillingham threw that interception for at TD or we would have still one that game despite all the turnovers. Man I hate losing to those guys.

I also think the clip call on Rockets return against Colorado was bad too.

It has to be the Bush Push. Not only did USC win the game on that play, but they also cheated on that play (even though I know the rule is barely ever called). Also, they replay this play over and over again and everytime I see it, it just makes me more and more bitter about it.

I couldn't agree more. Ruined my freshman year. Stan fu**in Smagala.

The only time my mother sent me to my room during college.

I was home (Thanksgiving?) for that game, and I nearly threw the remote through the TV on that play.

My freshman year, too.

before the kick in the 93 BC game, one of our linebackers let a sure INT go right through his hands. we would have won the game right there.

I don't remember what they were ranked at the time, but I believe that it was in the top 20. I know that they finished in the top 15.....
