From the Master List thread:
https://notredame.rivals.com/content.asp?CID=1706800

Gavin Cupp OL from Ohio will be visiting this weekend for Louisville.

Offers from West Virginia, Illinois, BG, and Toledo.

Big strong kid that most likely projects on the interior of the O line at the college level.

Plays at a very small school in Ohio and would most likely need to camp well to earn bigger offers.

Has visited Urban twice and Sparty once so far this year, and West Virginia as well.

He visited ND last summer and left very impressed.

We'd be very much in it, perhaps shoot to the lead, "if" we offered.

And a scout article from June:
The offensive line class in Ohio is already looking like a special group, with players such as Liam Eichenberg, Tommy Kraemer and Tyler Gerald all holding BCS offers.
Leipsic offensive tackle Gavin Cupp (6-foot-5, 275-pounds) impressed last week at Ohio State, and he deserves to be listed with the above group.

Ranked a 3* with a rating of 5.7 on initial Rivals position rankings.

Also initially the #27 tackle in the country, which is ahead of liam eichenberg initially.

All I can think of watching this tape. Comically sped up.

basketball season is over so he'll start making a few more visits according to an article from Rivals

ND's been pretty quiet in his recruitment and I think they see him as a 2nd or 3rd tier OL. I don't expect much noise on ND's side until some of the "bigger fish" make up their minds.

has picked up offers from pitt and a few more mid major FBS schools.

Georgia is showing heavy interest, but have yet to offer.

I have seen this kid play more than a few times . I will be absolutely stunned if we offer ! He looks the part I just don't see the footwork or technique .

i understand your point, but of the 3 he has the one that can't be taught working in his favor.

the other two would be fixed with some good coaching, which he would get at the next level

Visited OSU for Friday Night Lights without communicating with the MSU staff, Dantonio pulled his offer.

No, I know. But thanks! I meant my question as a "smart-assed" homage to Dub's rhetorical (or seemingly so) question in his signature line.

It is kind of interesting however that the program that gets the tag of developing a better program out of "three stars," also has a reputation for being the most "Old School" when it comes to player discipline. Doesn't it so seem?

most definitely i'll be interested to see how a blue collar (cliche i know) program like MSU which takes generally 3 star midwestern kids adapt to having high 4 star recruits come in with all the usual notions kids with this kind of hype will have. The blending of both these groups will be a challenge.

Perception..........ND may turn a lot of 3 kids into 4 kids, but ND is still considered one of the elite programs that get plenty of 4 & 5 kids where as Sparty has never enjoyed the reputation of an elite program.

supposedly performed really well at the camp and urban's staff is really impressed with his toughness as he performed well in the 1 on 1's.

i still see urban slow playing him b/c they know that an offer would bring a slam dunk commitment.

kid has offers from numerous other programs, he'll be ok regardless of what happens.
