god i love the hatred....buckslife hit it right on the head. Troy complements brady and gets bashed for it, wow. it's almost like anything he says or anything anyone says is an act and they are actually shady. please, give me a break. Why can't anyone accept the fact that he has grown up a lot, i mean a lot.

and he did not get kicked out of a school for racial slurs during a basketball. He was suspended for elbowing a kid that he claims was saying racial slurs to him throughout the game. after he was suspended, he left for another school. but does that matter on this board?

I already addressed this in detail... god forbid you read the whole thread...

Nevermind those saying it was a classes act, if Brady won the award and said the same thing, a ton of emotional buckeye fans would be bitching too... let er go

size is "malarkey!" Drew Brees is barely 6'1, Joe Montana was 6'1 or so, Fran Tarkenton 5'10, Doug Flutie 5'7, Mike Vick 6'0- give me a break! Measurables aren't the issue- I believe that the issue surrounds Troy not being the "prototypical QB", that the majority concludes as "ideal"....

lol... nice tone... anyway

Eric Crouch, Jason White, Scott Frost and a number of "majority" QB's have been labeled as un"ideal" as well so don't give me that... And yes, Drew Brees, Joe Montana and Doug Flutie each had to prove their worth before ANYONE took them seriously as pro QBs simply because of their size as well... don't dance either, everyone who saw this post knew what you were saying... at least I had the balls to come out and say it...

first: I was at the CFA Banquet... they let me in. In regards to size, BQ is not bigger than Calvin Johnson. The photo has some serious perspective in it I think (look at how the players are standing in a U shape). I met Brady there. He IS a hoss...he's huge, but CJ was easliy 1.5" taller. Regardless, Brady is huge... he's very tall and built like a brick.

secondly: i want to aplogize to the OSU fans. I really really really dislike OSU... in fact, they are prob. my least favorite team, but some of the Notre Dame fans on here just flat-out embarrass me. Seriously, Troy Smith said a classy comment. He could've acted like Terrell Ownes and said "I'm the best. Period."... but he didn't. Whether he believes it or not, he acted in a classy manner. I believe that Brady should've won the Heisman, and I lobbied against Smith, but Troy has acted in a very classy way through all of the media attention. I don't care if it is smokes and mirrors -- he is doing his best to be a class act, and I acknowledge it. I respect Smith... he has acted FAR more classy than most of you Irish fans have acted on this thread. Get off your high horse.... let's try to be respectful to other fans -- don't patronize them because they root for a team that we dislike.

So, sorry OSU guys that felt attacked. I agree with you that some of the Irish fans on here are annoying and classless, and I am ashamed. I hope that you don't associate our entire fanbase to the sour grapes. I know that there are good Bucknut fans out there, and I hope you guys realize the same about the domers.

Joe Montana and Fran Tarkenton played 300 years ago when OL were 6' tall and weighed 245 pounds. Doug Flutie played in the CFL and USFL and rode the bench for most of his career in the NFL. Mike Vick is a tailback who happens to play quarterback. When the Falcons rely on him to throw, they lose. Drew Brees is the only true exception to the rule. And Troy, despite the listing, is not as tall as Brees. Buckeye fans are setting themselves up for disappointment. Troy Smith's days as big time QB end on January 8th. He was a great college QB, but it won't translate no matter how bad Buckeye fans want it to.

I second that motion! Only time will tell, but I will be VERY SURPRISED to see Smith perform as well as Brady at the pro level. As stated before, I would tend to take what the pro scouts are saying (Quinn having more upside as a NFL prospect) what some bucknik fans want to believe.

As I have stated... I agree... Troy said what he should have said, but I still believe had Brady said the same thing tOSU fans would spin it too...
