Yes, another Asaph Schwapp fan! Thought I was the only one. Lol, I know its odd to get excited by a fullback, but Notre Dame hasn't had a true FB in awhile, and I think this kid's a beast. If Powers-Neal isn't back for his 5th year next year, I think this kid should be starting. He could really blow open some holes for Walker.

All Willingham's Full Backs were targeted for their pass-blocking ability, first and foremost. With Haywood coming from Texas, which has-like-four committed runningbacks, I expect to steal one (if not two). Also, I believe Montario Hardesty is back on our radar as a Half Back too.

I know little of Schwapp, but I suspect he is more of a blocking back. Few schools offered him (us and Maryland?), but he also committed very early in the game.

He's not a bad weapon. He committed early, and then a lot of schools kinda realized they may have missed out on something. Definately a blocker first and foremost, but it looks like he's got pretty good athleticism for a FB. I just like to have big powerful run & pass blockers at FB, and then if they can catch the ball out of the backfield sometimes that's nice too, and it looks like he's good enough at both.
