Running well does help keep the other team's offense off the field. But if you're holding your opponent under 20 you're going to win a lot more games than you lose. Pretty simple.

I have no idea. But one of the reputable irish sites posted a story or blog about how all but one team that won a NC in the last x-years averaged over 200 yards per game rushing.

In BK's tenure, ND has only rushed for over 200 yards per game one year = 2012.

This thread comes down to Bucks having Urban Meyer and we don't. We do have a darn good coach. I also LOVE OSU front 7 and that really helps them
