RIALTO, Calif. - Linebacker Lokeni Toailoa (Rialto, Calif./Wilmer Amina Carter) said Notre Dame is still recruiting him the hardest.
Irish outside linebackers coach Bob Elliott leads the charge.
"Coach Elliott hits me up every two or three days and we talk all the time," Toailoa said. "I like everything about Notre Dame. The name speaks for itself."
Toailoa said he has 21 verbal offers and all of the instate schools, including UCLA, Cal, Stanford and USC, are also recruiting him hard.
He said his relationship with the USC staff extends back to when Steve Sarkisian was coach at Washington.
Toailoa said he plans to visit Cal, Stanford and Utah this spring with his 7-on-7 team.
He also plans to visit Oregon in May with his father and brother.
"I have high interest in everybody," Toailoa said. "Everyone's equal. I don't know when I'll narrow it down."
Toailoa said "as of right now" it appears he will announce in early January at the Under Armour All-American Game.
He said he hopes to land offers from LSU and Ole Miss still.
The Crystal Ball reads 57-percent for USC, 29-percent for Notre Dame and 14-percent for UCLA.
The four-star recruit is ranked as the nation's No. 1 inside linebacker and the No. 6 prospect in California in the 2016 class by 247Sports.com Composite Rankings.
