Nope. Don't need any unnecessary falling in the BCS due to USC losing. I don't think it matters anyhow, UCLA isn't in USC's class.

I agree,we played them fair and square and lost. Tip your hat and move on.

how would a USC loss affect our bowl placement?

A lot of the computer rankings in the BCS are heavily weighted with strength of schedule. This might hurt our strength of schedule but it probably wouldn't be enough to make a difference in our BCS ranking.

i'm the dissenter here, but i'll be rooting for USC to win. I think they're better than michigan for one reason, but i'm also opposed to the rematch of UM-OSU.

Your point is a good one but some might take issue with "fair and square" in regards to SC, just saying

Yeah, I take exception with the 'fair and square'; that turf was looking a little suspect....did you see the Shark slip on the 2nd play from scrimmage??

My right brain says go Bruins, whereas my left brain is saying it is better if the Trojans win. Pass me another Guiness, and GO WITH THE RIGHT BRAIN.

Might then match-up with SC again in the Rose Bowl, but since that has happened so recently, it would likely be USC-LSU (which will absolutely light up ESPN's board) and those 2 teams can resolve the 2003 NC discussion.

Any chance that UCLA will sneak into the top 25 with that win?

Not at 7-5...hell no.

Hey, they didn't play a Big East schedule!

Sagarin ranks them with the 3rd toughest schedule. They beat 3 teams in Sagarin's top 30 and got beat by 3.

It's takes the Big East's Top 3 three teams to match that combined!

Sagarin ranks UCLA #25 or better in all of his three rankings.

I'm not a Bruin fan (or the Big East) but look for the Bruins to be in the Top 25 in the Final Poll.

I am not saying they don't deserve it (they were 45 seconds and a determined run from beating us)...

However, the voters won't give them that kinda love.

They'll be there when the bowls play out.

Well they didn't get any love today but unlike Houston (40 points) their best lost wasn't to a hapless Miami team that fired their coach. Houston plays the 108th toughest schedule while UCLA played the 3rd toughest. Gotta love the voters logic.

I was at the game decked out in my UCLA gear (which I purchased just for this game). I love rooting against USC any time and I had a blast rubbing in this loss! I just wish that the cops weren't pepper spraying fans after the game that tried to run onto the field. I really wanted a chance to get on the field and congratulate the players on a great win. Overall, this was the best college football game I've ever been to (which really isn't that many games).

what was the parking lot ( ah, I mean golf course) like after?? All I could think about was how many spoiled brats SC fans would be throwing fits and starting fights afterwards.... getting out of there is hard enough without the tension... was I correct in my assumption???
