I don't care where we are seeded as long as we get to the sweet sixteen. These last couple of years have proved seeding isn't worth a damn anymore.

#8 KU just lost by 1 to #23 WVU. Could shoot us up a spot in the polls if we go 2-0 this week. Maybe not though. I get a feeling the pollsters think of the Top-8 teams as being a notch above everyone else right now.

It was an amazing game as well. Crazy finish. Coast-to-coast layup by WVU with 3.9 seconds left and then a missed layup by KU at the buzzer.

I get the feeling we're wedged in for the week

I think we are as well. Hoping some voters will just go by records though. If we go 2-0 this week, we'll be 24-4 and KU will be 22-5. I'm pretty content with #10 for the most part, I'd pick the Top-8 teams over us on a neutral court. I think we're better than Utah though.

Favored by 12 tonight against Wake.

7:00 PM on ESPNU.

Wake forest is no pushover they have played pretty well against everyone they just lose close games. I think we should control the game for the most part. Start of a 3 game stretch we need to win and then a nice break before Louisville

We look really uninspired so far on offense. Not many of the cuts to the basket for easy points we usually get. Defense doesn't look inspired either. Something of a trap game / shake off the rush from an off week type of thing

I dunno, last 5 or so minutes was pretty good offensively. They were missing shots early but got to the line more than they had been. Auguste playing much more aggressively than he had been over the past couple weeks. Grant was really good following a bit of a slow start.

Semi-related, since they are playing at the same time...

Anyone else think Kentucky hasn't gotten any better since the start of the year? They play such good defense because their guards are allowed to hand-check the shit out of opposing guards, and they know they have usually two 7 footers in the game to clean up blow-bys.

At this point, I honestly think they're a bad match-up (good offensive passing team with some size) away from losing early in the tourney (and how delicious would that be).

Grant is a boss.

I love getting Torres the minutes too. Got to keep him active in case we run into foul trouble or need his energy off the bench in the Tourney.

27-28 FTs wow

Most amazing stat of the night. We should beat a team like Wake...but this stat is impressive no matter the opponent. Now if we can just get Auguste to start playing like he was the first half of the season, we'll be set for a deep run in the tourney!!!

Auguste played well tonight, just needs to stay out of foul trouble.

28 wins would be an ND record, no? Does this team reach that number?

Four regular season games, one or more ACC games, one or more tournament games.

Big win by MSU over Michigan tonight also. We need MSU to stay on this run to end the season. Also, Purdue is very quietly back on the bubble and 9-4 in the B1G. We need those two to finish strong to boost the OOC schedule. The Providence loss has looked much better as the season has gone on as well. MSU and Providence are both very close to cracking Top 25.

Too bad Texas couldn't hang on against Oklahoma. We've had a pretty good last few days around the country though in regards to boosting our schedule strength and with teams behind us losing.
