We're looking at this nationally since ND has a national footprint. This kid is still in high school. For all we know 4 or 5 classmates bugging them to go here or there may be all that these tweets are referring to. My guess is they would be much ado about nothing.

Remember that well. IIRC, it hit its peak after we canned Willingham and we were checking to see if it was heading to Salt Lake City to visit Meyer.

Actually Kellys classes have been falling mostly between 8-11 range. We had a great class ranked 3rd and a poorer one ranked 20th. Right now we are at 8ish range and should only go up with the expected signing day additions. So I really don't understand all the pessimism that is running rampant with a very vocal minority on this board regarding our recruiting efforts.

Haha, technically they've finished with 4 losses as many times as they've finished with 1. In his seasons with ND Kelly has lost (in order) - 5, 5, 1, 4, and 5 games.

Only because people that know more than anyone on this board as it pertains to ND recruiting have questions regarding the effort that this staff has put forward. I'm surprised more haven't been more frustrated. And btw, if you check 247's composite class rankings you're only off by a little. Kelly's 2013 class was his best (although it didn't enroll intact) and ranked no. 5 in the country. The rest of his classes have ranked between 9th and 18th. That's not counting 2010 when Kelly was hired.

Besides the fact that more than a few of the recruiting classes have been eviscerated by defections. In hindsight the 2011 and 2012 classes were disasters after defections, not to mention injuries (not blaming that on Kelly by any stretch). The 2013 class was a home run, and I think we either ride that class into elite status (and the recruiting benefits that go along with it), or we'll be stuck where we've been for some time.
