If everyone currently ranked in the top 6-7 win out, I would expect that OSU would get in before Miss State. Not that I think they are any better, or that they would beat Miss State on a neutral field, but I have to believe winning their conference championship will mean something in the end. The question would then be does Baylor belong before OSU. If teams in the top 6-7 start falling, then all bets are off.

Honestly, if State loses this weekend, then all bets are off. But if MSU and AL both lose this weekend, I think we have absolute chaos. Who would win the West if both AL and MSU lose this weekend? Is it still Bama?

I think Baylor is most deserving at 11-1 of the #4 spot over MSU, TCU, or OSU.

They'll have the best win (over 11-1 TCU) and also will have beaten KSU/OU. Losing at 7-5 WVU was bad, but I don't think it should outweigh their quality wins. Those 3 wins will be better than anything TCU or MSU or OSU will have. They beat OU by 34 on the road, and received 0 credit for it. OU's two other losses were by a combined 4 points....

Baylor, at 11-1, will end the year with 3 wins over Top 20 teams and will be co-conference champs (with the head-to-head tiebreaker). They deserve to be in. All 3 of those teams will be ranked higher than anyone Miss State has beaten all year as well.

MSU already lost to Bama. Why should they get the rematch? Bama/Baylor would be amazing.

I agree with all of this and will add that it would be an outright travesty if TCU got in over Baylor. When things are as close as they are this year and there's fewer playoff spots than viable playoff teams, head to head should be an absolutely determinative category.

Well, TCU beat WVU, whom Baylor lost to. And I believe TCU won on the road.

MSU still has a better resume over either team.

And I was not saying a rematch if Bama and State both lost. I was just wondering if Bama would still win the division.

TCU is every bit as good as Baylor. And Baylor, honestly, is just not a good team.

Also, as much shit as the Big Ten has taken this year, OSU seems like a more well-rounded team than either, despite the loss to VT.

I would take them over any of the teams in front of them, as galling as that is to say....if they win the Big Ten, of course.

Ala would win the division if both them and Miss St loses.

I think FSU runs the table.

I think Winston fvcks with people and has the last laugh. He's pretty damn good.

There is going to be so much shake up tonight...Alabama might get beat.

We need to start a new thread on where we think ND will be ranked in the first rankings... Don't they get released after next week?
