ND Going to the Sugar Bowl

If ND wins, they won't jump Michigan, unfortunately. It pisses me off, but it's true. The Rose won't want a USc rematch. If ND loses, USC goes to the title game. The Rose will take Michigan and bypass ND because they don't want the UM rematch. The Sugar gets the next selection. I just read an except from an article that stated Sugar Bowl officials would want ND, at 11-1 or 10-2.

So who is it gonna be UF or Arkansas? Either way, I like our chances.

Yeah i think so too...we would have to blow SC out by 50 to be in the disscusion, and while i would love to see that, i wouldnt be betting on that...I believe we will be playing Arkansas, which i would love.

Depends on Fla winning out. If they do, they could get the title shot. Don't think that is going to happen, if it does happen. Then I'm staying with my prediction of these match ups. This is only if Fla wins out.

BCS title game: osu vs fla
Rose Bowl: mich vs usc
sugar bowl: ND vs louisville
Orange bowl: gt vs wv
Fiesta bowl: boise state vs texas

I don't see us playing Louisville at all, most likely the winner of the SEC championship game. I wouldn't mind going against Florida or Arkansas, but I'd prefer Florida. Their offense has looked anemic at times, and their defense seems to be great at stopping the run, but not the pass as well.

If The SEC winner goes to the NCG, then ND would play the winner of the BE in the Sugar.

I think alot of notre dame's chances to win a big bowl is going to be determined saturday night against usc.
If notre dame wins convincibly then it looks good.It really won't be any different of a team in january then it is now.
I like the chances against arkansas right now.Several of my friends said they wouldn't want to play west virginia,but i think that would be my second choice.

could you imagine how much of s storm the media will create for t UF ND matchup??.... that would be VERY interseting considering some of the things that might go public for sake of story...

McFadden of Arkansas was real impressive today and the defense looks decent, otherwise they are not that impressive.

And i like our chances against any team that relies on the run and has a mediocre passing game. But lets just beat USC for the love of all that is decent in the world.

I second that!!! Never thought I could dispise anyone as much as Spurrier, but that f'n used car salesman at florida right now managed to do it!!

Yeah I want them to win a bowl game but that doesn't mean I want them to go to a lesser bowl or play a lesser team...

I want two more wins this year. That's all. And if they had showed up against Michigan they'd have a gripe. They trounce SC, we'll see. Not holding my breath.

The way things are shaping up, ND beats SC = they're giving scUM a second shot at tOSU. Florida will lose one of their last two games. scUM is where ND was last week: hoping the other finds a way to win.

Boy, those wins at Iowa and Texas don't look so impressive anymore for tOSU. And seeing as though Michigan's only quality win was against the "lowly" Irish, I'm still not sure why everyone is so sold these are by far the two best teams.

I'm not.

I think SC and Florida are both better than Michigan.

I also think both of them have one more loss left in them.

SC wins out, they play tOSU. And lose.

USC loses to the Irish, thus, sending UM to face tOSU in a rematch. This , of course, makes the ND v UF Sugar Bowl the only BCS game anyone REALLY wants to see outside of Ohio and Michigan.

Fl beats LSU, LSU beats ARK, ND should play ARK for highest win percentage....but ND vs FL will be one hell of a game......if, and only if, we can stop their passing game.

I believe we can. Their passing game is good, but it's really not that scary.

All i want is ND to win saturday and just win a bowl game. Also i dont want to see a stupid rematch against OSU and UM
