I'd be bummed too if I was on the other end, but the rules are the same for everyone and everyone knows even number years belong to the Giants...

Strange because you'd think being from San Francisco they'd prefer ODD years.

What a great finish. Bruce Bochy has to be one of the most undervalued managers/coaches in sports. Quietly does a great job every year.

Not to derail, but they need to shorten the regular season, and if not ditch the second wild card team, make it best of three, and make the divisional series best of seven. And my team didn't get screwed this year, so I am not whining at all. But fair is fair....they've devalued the virtue of playing well all season.

Having said that, it should be a good series with two hot teams facing off.

This is exactly where I'm at. To play 162 games and then have a singular "play-in game" is ridiculous... only exceeded by the ridiculousness of playing a 5 game series in the divisional round. The ratio of regular season games => length of playoff elimination round is by far the most skewed in baseball of all sports... and it turns the regular season into something completely meaningless except to avoid the wildcard coin flip.
