Also thinks that Franklin's worm is "weak".

Don't care, personally. Putting all of our eggs in Henry's basket is terrifying to me. If we get burned again a la Flake Barnett, we'd be in serious trouble. We need to take advantage of Golson's play while the getting's good. If Wimbush wants in, TAKE.

Word at II was that we didn't even push for Henry's commit when he was here for the UM game. We told him to commit when ready and take visits as necessary so we don't have a Barnett situation. Or maybe Kelly and staff had this up their sleeve the entire time.

Yeah this all day long and twice on Sunday. Obviously we all would like to land Malik, but that is a year and a half away, and who knows what in the hell could happen in that time? I'll take Wimbush right now and not even think twice about it. Kid is a stud!

Count me on board!! Henry is a great prospect and one we would love to have but there is no way we pass on Wimbush if he wants it in. He is an elite talent

Wonder if at all he made it to the Syracuse game even just as a spectator? About a 20-30 minute ride from St. Peter's.

Anna said that he hasn't been that high on them ever since he committed. That's all she said.

A poster had an interesting point though. Hackenberg has sucked ass this year so far. Maybe Wimbush has taken notice of that?

IMO, Golson is having too good of a year for 2015 quarterbacks not to rethink their decision of not giving ND a closer look.

Do we take that to mean Hackenberg would not be leaving after 2015? Or that the new staff doesn't develop QBs?

Or did he just see last week's game where their OL couldn't block the equivalent of an FCS oppenent?

i would assume that they are referring to him regressing under franklin and his development was due to bill o'brien ...the ol can't block for shhhhit and they have walkon's protecting him which they arn't really doing a good job...but he definitely has looked night and day vs his last year performances...he looks terrible this year

I don't know anything about quarterbacks or throwing motions but this looks wrong.

372557.jpg

If that picture accurately represents his normal mechanics it means he has an elongated throwing motion that represents throwing a baseball more than a football. (Think Byron Leftwich) It can be fixed, especially with a good QB Coach, and if he did come here, he could certainly work on it that first year while redshirting.

And there's Loy w/ the CB to ND. Clockwork.

Bumping since it got stuck last on the first page, in case Wizards doesn't see it.

Would this deter henry, I really want him and would be willing to wait on this year. Though Wimbush is a really talented kind and I would for sure take him

I absolutely love this kid's potential. Think he is easily a top 5 QB in this class. The fact that he is coming with his mom is HUGE.

Really pumped about this.

Does this say anything about losing confidence in Henry or do we just really want to take a QB this cycle?

i would refer back to what BK has said before...ideally you want to take a QB every cycle..if anything it appears we are extremely in good position w/ Henry but don't want to take a risk

Even if Henry wants to come, you take Wimbush. Last thing I want to do is decline to take a top 5 guy now for a Cali kid that wouldn't even sign an LOI for 18 months.

Not saying Henry is any way like Barnett, but a dollar today is worth more than a dollar tomorrow.

Great news i hope we can get him to flip, and steal another one from Penn State. Just my guess but i think if that happens Malik Henry still commts to Notre Dame. I would feel better if the crystal ball came from Wiltfong.

In Wiltfong for recruiting i trust

We have always and will always want to take an elite QB every cycle. Wimbush is just that. We weren't going to take one just to take one. I don't believe that this has a huge bearing on Henry but I do believe this might be why his timetable keeps gettin pushed back and he's considering other visits. I'd rather have Wimbush now than wait on Henry as much as I love Henry. His father isn't sold and the last thing we want is another QB that far away with a parent in his ear talking about other schools. Exact scenario as Barnett.

Can I open this at work?

And as a passer, who is better? Him or Henry?

it was just a pic of wimbush showing off his guns while throwing...he could be a candidate for the koon bod squad

they both have cannons, henry seems to have more touch...wimbush runs fast///really fast and is well put together...also Wimbush has very quick release...henry's was more elongated if i remember correctly

Any chance Loy has a good inside source, and that THIS is the commitment he keeps teasing?

That's basically why Loy CB'd him and thinks it could be done this weekend. Mom and academics, even referenced Adam Sargeant's premium work as a key.
