It could stem from a lot of things like R. Moore and Merriweather (sp?) or the FIU game, but who knows. It could be a wrong place/wrong time thing as well. This is incredibly sad and I wish his family the best.

I agree there's more to this story. Here's one thing that got my attention: he was shot in the parking lot of his apartment complex, near Dadeland Mall, i.e. in what is generally one of the better parts of the Burbs.

Everything I've heard about this young man so far is that he has a team leader, motivator, and an all around good guy, who was most likely going to be picked up in the next NFL draft. 22 years old with his life still ahead of him. What a waste. Sad story.

Yeah, it's really terrible. It's also a shame he is guilty by association, but I guess that is something that you inheirit if you choose to play football there. As a parent, I don't see how I could allow my son to go play at Miami... that city, school and program just has a complete negative aura about it right now.

Yeah, Miami is not the job you want right now. When you thought it couldn't get any worse, something like this happens. I'm sure the team is devastated. I wouldn't wish this on my most hated rival or anyone for that matter.
