Sorry, it's the troll in me ;).

GB knows what I'm talking about and there's no problem here.

Probably the best thing that could happen to him! If we could have just had a decent defence his last 2 years at ND!

This isn't a dating or 'hook up' site.........

I can see how that sounded weird.

I'm saying, I expected GB to be a fan of the 'new school' rather than the 'old school'. AKA, like the swag and brashness of college football players, and not really care about their attitudes as long as they don't go over the top.

They gave him a "few" chances?

They drafted him onto a terrible team with terrible coaching.

Changed his head coach.

Changed his Ocoordinator

Drafted Newton

I live here. Watched every single game. I have been to training camp to watch them practice a few dozen times. They did give him several chances to prove he could handle the job. He made bad decisions all the time in practice and the coaches were drilling him over and over about using his brain when looking over the defenses and about keeping cool in the pocket. I really wanted him to succeed here, but he could not. That is the entire reason they drafted Cam.

So proud of Billy Madison aka @JimmyClausen for going back to ND to finish his degree while he's rehabbing his shoulder #Proud #FrankTheTank

Makes sense why I saw him yesterday on campus. Did a double take and couldn't figure out why he was here.

Uhhh that's weird because he definitely walked at my graduation ceremony in '11.

He did. But he came back to finish his degree. I distinctly remember him at the Arts and Letters ceremony and at Finny's with Golden on the weekends.
AHh... I see. Man I wish that dude would have stayed,

Yeah they both went back and got their degrees...Golden went to Tennessee first and transferred some classes over and then finished up in South Bend...

Maybe Clausen was close to having a 2nd degree?

Nice, good for JC to go back and get the degree.

Really wish a team with a proven system like the Pats or Packers would pick him up...

I do remember that Trestman worked with Clausen in the months leading up to the 2010 NFL Draft.

Would love to see Jimmy make the team but don't see it happening with Palmer, Jerrod Johnson, and David Fales all competing for the 2nd and 3rd spot on the roster. And that's if they even decide to keep 3 QBs on the roster.

No offense but.. who?

Are those two guys really better than Jimmy? Only problem for Jimmy's chances is his inactivity.

And they will keep 3 QBs because Fales is just a rookie.

Trestman is a QB genius. IMO Chicago is the best spot he could've gone apart from the offensive juggernaut teams (Pats, Packers, Saints) who seem to have systems anyone can run successfully.

I agree. JC has the arm to beat out those guys. He "should" be able to make a roster in the right situation.

I don't agree with that. I think Chicago is the best place for him to land, even over those teams. Green Bay, New Orleans and New England are more the product of a great QB than a great system. Chicago is definitely the marque system, which can make good QB's better.

Marshall and Jeffrey might be the best WR duo in the NFL right now. Add Forte to the mix and there's a lot of firepower there.
