Nightcap Pappy Van Winkle style. My palate has been wrecked today with a bunch of riff raff drinks bordering from cheap beer to jäger shots, but I must say it's a nice finish.

Did you already have the Pappy on hand or did you recently pick it up? 2 guys I work with scour the internet looking for stores that have it. We've got 2 bottles at work that my boss refuses to put into circulation. I've yet to try the stuff, so I'd like to get ahold of a bottle before it's all gone or in the hands of collectors.

My friend got the Pappy from his dad that lives in Mississippi. No idea where he originally got it from.

Ill second it though, Corzo is really good, I can do shot after shot of that

Shots? I like to sip good tequila like I would a whisky.

What I had was the Milagro Select Barrel Reserve line (Silver, Reposado, and Anejo). The bottles look like this.

I got a mixed four pack of bottles. It's usually not a good deal, but I found a place where the pricing was decent. So far I've tried:
Paulaner Premium lager. Bavarian style lager that is much different from other lagers. It has a big, full taste, kind of sweet and sour. I enjoyed the Weihenstephan version better. Of course, I found out too late that this bottle was a few months past its drink by date. I would not get again.
Green Flash Saison Diego. I really enjoyed this beer. Easy drinking but still full of flavor. I am discovering that I may be a Saison guy. Good beer for our very slow-developing spring.

Color me jealous. I have only had it a few times but I have loved it every time.

We got two cases and one half barrel in my town and I got 12 bottles. I almost feel bad for hoarding it, almost. I'm curious about it's distribution though, I'm assuming it doesn't get out your way. Does it all stay in Michigan?

2 oz. Gin
Somewhere between 1/2 and 3/4 oz. lemon juice
1/4 oz. St. Germaine
1 dash orange bitters
Lemon twist, dem essential oils doe.

Considering that I drank a Vesper and a gin martini earlier tonight I should sleep fantastic after this.

It does not make it out to the West coast unfortunately (they say AZ but we have yet to see any hit the shelf though I have heard the rumors that some of Founders stuff is coming here) but I have a couple of whisky friends who I can sometimes get it from.

Here is a link to where they distribute too (it is at the bottom).

Beefeater man. I'm in school and it's delicious in cocktails. My vermouth was Lillet Blanc in the martini and Vesper though so I should get street cred.

Beefeater is my favorite inexpensive Gin. Nothing wrong there. My favorite Martini Gin is Plymouth and my favorite Gin & Tonic gin is Hendricks.

Me and my roommate are trying to get a bottle or two of KBS to split. In Georgia finding a bottle is like striking oil.

I'm going through a phase where I cannot get enough gin. I'm just hooked on the stuff, and I'm usually a scotch/bourbon guy. Just got a bottle of maraschino liqueur and really want to make an aviation but Creme de Violette is nonexistent in the states.

Do you put lime juice in your gin and tonic pkt? My friend and I debate this all the time. He says it doesn't belong except as a garnish, I say it adds an amazing tartness to the drink.

Dead kettle IPA by right brain brewing company. ..a northern MI brewery and dogfish head Midas touch. Both left something to be desired for me.

Hells Yes. Lime juice definitely belongs in my G&T.

I also like my martinis dirty as I love the saltiness it adds.

Up until I started getting into craft beer (about 5 years ago), I pretty much only drank G&Ts during the summer here as it becomes more difficult to drink whisky when it is 110+ outside.

The DFH Midas Touch did the same for me. I say that I am glad that I tried it but I would never pay money for it again. Interesting idea but it is difficult to drink.

I knew I liked you guys. #teamlime

In response to pkt though, I never do olives in a gin martini. I'm a lemon peel guy. Vodka Martinis though... No vermouth, ice cold, olive garnish.

I love the olives but I'm not opposed to trying the lemon peel. I'll get back to you when the snow melts.

I don't actually put olives in my martini, just a splash of the brine from the olives. Gives a hint of olive flavor and a nice burst of saltiness but it definitely is different. I am not a fan of lemons in my martinis (or any fruit for that matter). If I don't do a dirty, then it is just a straight dry martini.

Oddly I don't do vodka. I bought a bottle of Grey Goose 5 years ago and never opened it so I gave it to someone who helped me move.
