I've always been “Fine as frog’s hair split four ways” but nowadays I'd settle for “Enough money to burn a wet mule” ...

When someone asks how you are doing reply with "I'm hanging in there like a hair in a biscuit!"

This May not be particular to the south but I think it is hilarious that hell and sh1t are commonly used to describe anything.

"I'm drunk as hell"
"I'm higher than hell"
"He was drunk as shit"
"She is sharp as shit"
"She is pretty as hell"
"I'm cold as hell"
"You dumb shit"
"He is dumb as hell"

The list could go on and on.

Ha, we've had a discussion in our family on the pronunciation of "crayon." I say "cran," my ma says "cray-awn," my wife says the traditional "cray-ahn." Apparently all 3 pronunciations are correct, but the last two are used by 34% and 48% of people, while "cran" is used by just 14%. Apparently there is a 4th acceptable pronunciation that I've never heard before "crown." "Crown" just sounds ridiculous.

No italics because I am serious here. Here in "Tha Sip", when someone says that, they are meaning Awe look, he's got a lot of tard in him.

Also, if someone says, "God love him", that means the same thing as "Bless your heart". It means they think you may be reTARDed.

It's the same as being called a muppet in England. I wasn't quite expecting that the first time I heard it. When I heard "window licking muppet" thrown out for the first time, my first inclination was to picture Kermit and Fozzie behind glass.

Made it down to Mississippi and start work in the morning. I'm living in Ridgeland, and wow the town has exceeded my expectations by far.

You all had me worried haha.

Anyway, any places in Ridgeland I should check out to eat at?

Had Chick-fil-a for the first time yesterday and I was impressed. LOL

Alright, y'all didn't help me out on my last question but maybe you could help me out with this one instead.

Getting bored as hell down here and thinking about heading out to Vicksburg to see the Miss. River and stop by one of the casinos in Vicksburg. Which one do you prefer? Lady Luck, Riverwalk, or one of the others?
