I have such a hard time putting all my money on -14.5. I lost all my vbucks during last year's NCG. Sucked. I might just go for the +.17 and call it a day.

Saved By An Internet Crash!

I had entered a Trillion vbuck bet on ND to cover and 600 Billion on the Rees Combo of 2.5 TDs + Ints. Two locks.

I pressed "BET" and my cable connection went out.

Disconnecting the cable modem and router didn't bring back the connection. I had to reboot the computer as well.

The computer boots up, the internet comes up, IE opens, go to Forums, then SportsBook, enter my bets and smile as I hit "BET" at 10:59.

Then a dialog box appeared advising:

You may NOT bet on a closed event.

I mildly cursed my cable provider and my proscrastination for missing a golden opportunity to double my vbucks.


Then the game started.

Passes were dropped, players slipped on the grass, players got hurt ... and as the quarters passed I started to get a warm fuzzy feeling. Fans whinned (how unusual).

ND won!

Rees, Jones, Brindza, Tuitt, and some others passed new career milestones.

Martin was MVP.

ND is positioned itself to retake the All Time Winningest Percentage wtih a Michigan loss tonight.

... all after I had the composure to deposit my vbucks back into the vbank, during ND's first drive of the game, with 2 minutes to spare earning 38 billion in interest.


I coulda been KPenn ... but for the crash.

The payouts are done manually usually by the person whose name is on the OP. Sometimes it's the same day sometime the following day.

When the book is settled you'll see a "WIN" to the right of the bets that won and the money will appear back in your account (if you had winning bets).
