Tennessee-Irish, please, I apologize. I meant no disrespect to you
Lately, I feel like I've been trying to reel some of you guys back in rather than discussing football with you. It started with recruiting this summer and now after the first game of the year.
Block out what everyone else is saying, writing, whatever. Notre Dame, win or lose, will compete in every game and it will take a full 60 minutes to beat them....if you can. And some Saturdays, it will take Notre Dame a full 60 minutes to beat some teams. I think the next two Saturdays will comprise 120 minutes of tough football...maybe more.
Michigan State and Purdue, well, I think ND will kick their asses. I'm sorry but if you allow 35 points to Indiana State and can't manage to put Idaho away by halftime, you've got issues that more games and practice can't iron out. Either way, let's cross each bridge when we come to it. USC could have a couple of losses by November, but why worry now when it is ten games away?
PENN STATE.
As I was discussing with my father today, these games will be very emotional this season because we expect a lot and have as good of a chance to be in the hunt as we've had in a long long time. But there are 11 more of these things to go. Keep posting your opinions, but try to stay grounded and don't get too far beyond yourselves, so to speak.
You're going to end up not enjoying what good be a great and memorable season.
