I live in a 2 room apartment and the 2nd room is my Notre Dame bar room. All the walls are painted blue and in the center one I had a friend who is a web designer paint a 4 foot by 4 foot gold ND interlocking logo. I have wood floors so I have a huge 10 foot by 8 foot carpet mat with the leprechaun on it in the middle. Adorning the walls of my bar room are 57 pictures of Notre Dame players, past and present and various posters and of course a huge poster of the stadium. I also have one entire wall dedicated to the Marine Corps. It has my NCO sword on display as well as my medals, ribbons, and pictures. I have a 9 foot long bar with 3 Notre Dame bar stools. The bar stools have blue seat covers with the gold ND interlocking logo. I had to order them from some place in Chicago that made ND stuff. I have a 56 inch TV against the wall behind the bar to watch. I cant afford plasma yet. I soent alot of time putting this thing together. It wasnt cheap, but it wasnt expensive either. I got alot of stuff from ebay. Overall it was worth every penny because I love the look on people's faces when they see it. It is like Willy Wonka opening the door's to his chocalate waterfall. The look is priceless. In the small fridge tucked under my bar is a pony keg of Miller High Life, complete with an ND tap. I stay home to watch the games obviously. I hate going out to bars and having to listen to all the "LIFELONG HORNS FANS" talk smack to me. Its good to save them the pain of not smashing their face in. GO IRISH.

For you drinkers, non-drinkers, eaters or what have you... what does your Gameday spead look like?
We had a ton of food at our club gamewatch....

Hot dogs and kraut
Honey-baked spiral ham
Baked beans
Macaroni & Cheese
Brownies
Chips & Pretzels (we are after all in the backyard of about 5 or 6 snack food companies, most notably Utz and Snyders)
Cheese & Veggie tray
A couple different cakes
Whoopie-Pies!
And most of all, the Knights of Columbus full bar (the Crown & Cokes were about 80% Crown, 20% Coke and only $2.25!)

Keep in mind that if any of yez ever find yourself in the Gettysburg area on game day and need a place to watch, you're more than welcome to hang out with the club! We only do the KofC thing a couple times a year since it costs us $150 or so to rent the room (this year was Ga Tech and USC...possibly a bowl too as we did last season). Rest of the time we're at a local restaurant where food and drink is generally on your nickel.

Upgrade to plasma, swap out the keg for Guinness and I'd never leave the place :)

WELL DONE!

Here's what I had in the trunk for the last tailgater: "two bags of grass, seventy-five pellets of mescaline, five sheets of high-powered blotter acid, a salt shaker half-full of cocaine and a whole galaxy of multicolored uppers, downers, screamers, laughers.... A quart of tequila, a quart of rum, a case of Budweiser, a pint of raw ether and two dozen amyls..."

Just kidding! Name that book.

Me, my dad and my brother typically. Generally no talking is allowed until ND is up 4 td's. The focus is uncanny, only words like "there spreading out, watch the draw", or "Bleeping throw up to Shark" are spoken. In the early fall we like domestic beer and pizza, as the season winds down we prefer Guiness and brats, good DRY ribs or wings. Women typically aren't allowed, (I told my Mother she was horrible luck when I was about 16 during a game once, she still hasn't forgiven me). Bushmills or Jameson for celebration after the game, followed up by Biscuts and Gravy and hashbrowns on Sunday morning while I read the Chicago Trib write up on the game and laugh at the utter dominance by the Irish which took place on Saturday. I aslo purchased a ND band CD years ago, I play it at about 10,000 decibals prior to the game for about 2 hours. I enjoy BB King or Buddy Guy or John Lee Hooker after victories.
