Saban's a ramblin' man

I don't know why, but Saban and USC just doesn't seem like a good fit to me. Possibly because LA is such a large market for the media and he would come under more scrutiny than he would in Tuscaloosa or Austin. At those two schools football is the undeniable top dog and the main focal point of the area. Not so in LA.

At this point I am just having fun.

Saban is out on the freaking recruiting trail as we speak. How does this make any sense at all...

So are there any somewhat reliable sources saying this? Or is it all BS so far? Idk how i feel about it if he does end up leaving, but it would be funny seeing the Bama fans meltdown

We have this...
<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" lang="en"><p>We stand by our report that Saban will be the coach at Texas. We trust the sources and would NOT report it otherwise. <a href="http://t.co/PaqfSVcmpP">http://t.co/PaqfSVcmpP</a></p>— TheFootballBrainiacs (@TheFbBrainiacs) <a href="https://twitter.com/TheFbBrainiacs/statuses/408370345037402112">December 4, 2013</a></blockquote>

And an ESPN affiliate (104.9) reported it, but some are now saying they were joking. It's not happening.

But at least we do have this...

"I guess I have to say it. I'm not going to be the Alabama Head Coach".

MSFHorn is a poster on 247 and Rivals, mainly on Rivals. He is very in the know and he started a thread on the Rivals board that says Confirmed: Saban to Texas. Can't read it as I only have 247 and ISD.

From AUinTexas on the UT 247 board
1.) yes this is my first post and I'm sure this could be very easily perceived as a troll. However i have come across some info this past weekend and wanted to share/see if this matched up with what anyone in the know has been hearing.

2.) I am an Auburn alum and was at the Iron bowl this past weekend.

3.) We were allowed the opportunity to enter a tailgate with several former auburn and alabama players, while there i was able to have a conversation with Bo Jackson. After talking about the upcoming game, I mentioned Saban, and he told me that Saban has already reached an agreement with Texas. Somehow he knows patterson, Not sure at all why he would tell Bo, or how Bo would find out but he was confident. I guess we will find out soon.

4.) i just wanted to see if anyone here was in the know, and knew anything that matched up with what he was saying.
I'm still not 100% this is going to happen but I am getting excited because Bo has no reason to lie or make this up. So just seeing if anyone could echo his statements.

The thing is, the national media guys are kind of quiet so far. Forde tweeted out one thing, but I bet most of them are at least vetting this FBManiacs report.

I can confirm that there is a 100% chance that Saban may or may not become head coach of Texas.

Where there's smoke, there's fire. lol

Unfortunately, with the world of Twitter, a lot of times, this smoke is like a fire made with dry pine needles. Lots of smoke, but the fire burns out quick. Hopefully this think has legs though.

Well, he certainly has a history of taking money, and Texas will give him a lot.

He's going to Texas. Anything Saban says, believe the opposite.

That's more than double than the highest paid coach in college football right now (which is Saban). No freaking way. Not happening.

How is Saban going to be able to look anyone in the eye and try and say this isn't 100% about money? You know he will try and say it's about a new challenge yada yada yada
