Irish will win today!!!! I feel good about Tommy, TJ, Carlo, Fox, B-Jax and the rest of the seniors stepping up today and going out as winners at home.

vcoin on BYU, steamroll. Kelly will be purple-faced at Jack about the field yet again while the opponent doesn't care.

Am I the only one that picked up on the guaranteed push at worst. If you bet the same amount on BYU -1 and the ND money line, you couldn't lose money. If ND wins, you win.

OR am I an idiot and completely F up?

If you bet BYU -1 and ND to win at +110 at equal amounts (let's say, $100)... then if BYU won by 2+ points you would push. If ND won, you'd win 10% of whatever you bet (so +$10). So you are correct, it was free money.

In Vegas, this would never happen. Because the vig is -110 standard on the BYU -1 not even up 1/1 odds. So you'd have to bet $110 on BYU -1 to get your $100 back that'd you'd lose on the ND to win bet.... ergo, you'd break even no matter what.

Astute observation though on the odds listed in the vBook though, you were correct.
