True. Central was basically placed in the Sandusky Bay Conference's playoff division. They can't be happy about it.

On my way to watch my alma mater SJJ take on Central and Deshone. Interested to see what he can do. Obviously, I'm rooting for Central.

Me too and three.

There you have it, two SJJ grads rooting for the opposition, for the sake of Our Lady!

Should have seen this before the game. I would have been on the lookout WUE! As is twas DeShone had three TD passes. The single minded drive and discipline of the Central team are amazing! 35-0 was all she wrote. There is no one to even play these guys.

Tip of the year; Keep your eyes on Wade! He's a soph going places.

That's good to hear! Rooting for Kizer myself though I went to Start.

What about Whitmer this year? Can they contend with Central?

It was Central's closest game. But it was the week after they played Michigan power De La Salle (Warren.) And it was the week before this sophomore RB Wade went off the hook. This kid is incredible. Like Mo Clarett in high school, but with speed!

Whitmer isn't doing so good this year. After the Central loss they were one and three.

But I have never seen St. John's shut down at home like last night!

They have a home field now?

Where the hell you been? They had that natural depression along the creek to the east of the school. They bought Libbey's bleachers (which had been redone a couple of years before the school was closed, and moved them down Airport Highway. No small feet moving a large high school stadium five miles west! But it was a brilliant move. Now St Johns has a finished track, football stadium, soccer field, and baseball stadium.

Now where the hell have I been? Not in this thread. Oh yeah, and all the Toledo area schools that are in the TRAC conference have awesome stadiums and facilities. I wonder if it is a requirement. That league is a money maker! Every team has a broad fan base, a powerful program, (except the Frannies) and the conference puts over half the teams in to the playoffs every season!

NOW FOR THE LATEST!

I had a friend that showed me highlights of the Lima Senior game. This is a large school, (Not to be confused with Lima Central Catholic). The have won the Division 1 state championship in Ohio, more than once. Central came in and eviscerated them. I mean the game was over with the opening drive. Looked like the Monte Python bit with the adults playing grade school kids. DeShone had three by air, one on the ground, and again the CCHS Irish scored seventy or more points! And into the fourth quarter they were definitely trying to keep the score down! They are rolling, and DeShone is a machine. The best thing he has for ND is he is ready and prepped early, before the game, and he has his team mates ready. He runs that team. And they are assassins!

not too much to be proud of...Lima Sr has gone winless the previous 2 seasons and now finally has a head coach that knows what he's doing and more importantly can get all the athletes in the school out for football and not just basketball. in all seriousness he's probably overseeing the greatest turn around in the history of ohio high school football this year considering the mess he inherited.

not taking away from central's performance, but keeping it in perspective considering they are probably a top 10 school in the state all divisions maybe top 5, the score last friday was not that big of a deal.

Yeah, Lima Senior has not had a winning season since 2000.

Love DK and what his team is doing, but that was not a win over a quality opponent.

So does anybody have a new video to post that will do him justice.
Going by the video looks like we will be getting another Hendrix.

You are either a recruiting/QB genius or an idiot. I am leaning towards the latter.

Kizer's ceiling really has no limit.
He's not polished by any means...but if the coaching staff can put the puzzle together for him. He's gonna be a nasty one.

HAHA. Read my post. From the video originally posted he doesn't look too impressive.

If you see a Vince Young or Terrelle Pryor from the original video you are mistaken.

1st pass. 10 yards away misses the receiver that wasn't being covered.
2nd pass. 20 yard attempt not accurate.
3rd pass... are you kidding me?
4th pass. finally success!

None of these guys were being covered. This wasn't even 7 on 7. This was basic roll out and throw to a receiver that is jogging.

So you're telling me that video did him justice and makes him comparable to VY and TP?

A QB needs to be able to pass first and run second.

What's with the personal attacks? I make a comment Not attacking the recruit but making an observation. Asking for more footage and Im called an idiot?

The overall skin thickness on this site has really thinned.

That's the truth!

I don't see VY or TP. But I see a kid with above-Koyack levels of potential.
LOOK AT HIS OFFER LIST
College coaching staffs know a hell of a lot better than you or I.

Did anyone notice that his center seems to really struggle to snap the ball to him...Kizer has to catch it at his shins every snap.

Forgot Senior had been so far out of it. I had to laugh, I thought their state championship would have been closer to '06 than '96 though. That's what happens when you get old!

One thing about TRAC. It is a "fast league." And a solid league too. Last year it had the Div I runner up and the Div II state champs. With the NLL and Southview having two state championships, that plays many of it's crossover games in the TRAC, (NLL and TRAC play many crossovers), I bet you have to go back quite a few years before you miss getting a Div I or II quarterfinalist out of one of these two conferences.

DeShone had two throws against Whitmer this year that were remarkable. Stuff you just don't see in high school. Two things. I don't think I have ever seen anyone in high school throw as far off balance or on the run; and if you watch him running against these teams, he is outrunning most of the players. These teams have some speed. DeShone plays incredibly fast. I bet he doesn't know how to run a 40. Kind of like Everett Golson, Whitfield taught him how to run a forty and run like a football player not a basketball player. Well I think DeShone could learn how to run a 40 if he is clocking anything near a 4.9, because the only player in the league I have seen that I would bet is faster than him is that Senior running back, and Central's running back, TWade.

I don't know about thin or thick skin, only foreskin. But about football and Kizer, your comment and Hendrix I would say the following. Hendrix played for an option, grind 'em out program, more like Malik Zaire, through his Junior year. Central plays out of a gun, or Pistol. So the play to play skills are not the same. Kizer is a legitimate 6'5"; Hendrix and Zaire are 6'1" or 6'2". Watch Kizer's ball placement. His velocity is the only thing that is reminiscent of Hendrix. Kizer has more touch, (like Zaire) than Hendrix ever showed.

When Kizer runs, which he does often, which is the only similarity with Hendrix, he beats people with his feet and his moves. He does not run over people like a full back. Although it often takes more than one person to bring him down.

So maybe that is what the comment was about. Not thin skin. Maybe someone didn't want to explain the myriad of differences between the two quarterbacks? What do you think?

Thank you! You read my post and provided exactly what I asked for.

Like I said going off of the ORIGINAL video posted in this thread how can you not question his accuracy and ability to perform.

Definitely looks like he can be something special.

I guess I do know something about skin. Yours isn't thin! Good response.

Next time if you think the same thing, and you turn it around and ask it as a question, you will get 100% positive responses!

Not huge on Kizer, but he is nothing like Hendrix as a prospect. Hendrix has better arm strength and straight line speed. He was a very good prospect. Kizer on the other hand has better size, lateral movement, and seems to have a better mental aspect to it. He seems more of a leader than Hendrix and have better confidence. The only thing comparable is probably accuracy.

Kizer can actually improve in his arm strength once he gets a little stronger. Also should improve on accuracy with time. He's a very good piece of clay to mold. Has a lot of things you look for in a QB. Far away as a prospect though.

Some have thicker foreskin than others I guess jk.
I didn't really need a break down. I have limited experience at the QB position but experience non the less. All I had to go off of was the original video posted on this thread.

I don't really know all the scouting websites for the high school players so all I had to go off of was the first video.

At the same time. All I had to go off of Hendrix was his second half performance against USC.
Where he showed the same accuracy and ability to perform as the first video of Kizer.

Different offensive schemes aside. The first video shows basic passes a QB should be able to make. Especially one being touted as a dual threat QB.

As I said. Once the additional videos were provided I was able to make a better and more educated assessment of his skills. Which is all I was asking for to begin with.
Thanks for your input.

I apologize I should have used proper grammar and not internet slop.
The first sentence was a question but I did not end it with a ?

Look at a couple of Kizer's off balance throws in his senior videos for arm strength. I only saw one high school baseball player that could throw farther than him. His arm strength shows for what abilities his receivers have to run routes in high school. I will bet that with college receivers, his arm strength magically improves!

I will also bet that Kizer is as fast or faster than Hendrix. His stride makes him look exceptionally slow, except no one can catch him (few can.) With speed training he could be one of the fastest ND qb's ever.

According to many of those recruiting "experts" Kizer has ELITE arm strength. I am with you on that one Bogs...his arm is a cannon.

Its possible he hasn't shown his full ability when it comes to arm strength because of that. I don't think arm strength is at that point where its insufficient, but just noting that probably not a Hendrix fastball and once he has some time in the weight room it should improve. He's a twig right now.

IDK about the straight line speed aspect of it. Hendrix is probably faster straight line. Coming out he ran a 4.7 40 while Kizer ran a 4.9 40. Straight line speed for a QB is a useless stat mostly though. Very rarely do you see a QB break one free and need that. Also agree that with training he very well can improve.
