Who else misses THIS game on the schedule, I say (and have said for years) drop Michigan and put these bad boys back on the yearly rotation already, there's no real history with UM and the Michigan game NEVER sat as strong as our games with these guys... ever...

anyone else with me??

the write up ends stating that a renewal of the rivalry.... "appears unlikely for the near future."

Those were some great games.

I personally miss BC on the schedule

I would have loved to have had them last year for payback.

Come to think of it, I have a list of teams who need some payback...LOL

Who was it on here who had an official "2007 Pound Of Flesh Tour" last year? Jigga? Was that you? I seem to recall BC was top of the list.

But yeah, I miss Miami. But dropping Michigan for them? No way. I'll never get tired of seeing that sad look on Llllloyd's face every year.

I want Oregon State. Has any team been luckier in their timing with regards to playing ND?

1988 Miami game was the greatest in ND history in my opinion. It's my favorite game of all time college or pro. ND's backs were against the wall and they fought for every inch of that game. The fight in the tunnel was the most electrifying sports moment I've had in that stadium. Who knows where the program would have gone if they had lost that game. To ever see those two helmets on the field again just gives me chills........sweet, I agree obviously.

Definitely BC. Those classless bastards got some coming. Still does not sit well after the last time they were in South Bend and destroyed our locker room and $hit in our showers. What a bunch of freakin hogs.

If you have ever been to a game at that dump called the orange bowl you may understand why we haven't been back. The place is disgusting, the fans are out of hand (remember the tossing urine on ND alumni incident). They got way to caught up in the Catholics vs Convicts and the fans took the convicts part to heart.

MAybe if they played the game at Joe Robbie and upped securitiy

I agree with FI 9

They would have to play it on a neutral site down in Florida, maybe even call it a Miami home game if they wanted to.

And if there were a game to move to Soldier Field in Chicago for ND, Miami might be a good one.

I remember watching the 1989 Miami game while on Thanksgiving vacation at my grandma's house in Columbus. 11 years old, I cried after that beating. I take pride in knowing that the last time ND played Miami they won.

I could care less if they ever play them again. Filthy football program.

I'm too young to remember the ND-Miami rivalry, but I would love to see that matchup now. I would love to see a rotating mix of teams to always play, and then a mix of new teams. I would like to see any of the Florida schools (especially Florida or Miami), Ohio St., Penn St., Tennessee. And how about Georgia, LSU, Auburn, or Alabama once in awhile just to shut up those southern football (non Florida teams) purists, who think they're in the NC hunt every year.

I'd love to see all of those teams at some point. Georgia won't happen, though. They haven't played a non conference game north of the Mason Dixon line in decades.

Only game I remember was the '98 one mentioned earlier....one of the main reasons I got into football was that game, incredible game....I would say drop some other team than Michigan...they're normally high ranked and a tough seaon on paper is more important to the people makin the bowls

That would be great but the new administration seems more intent on playing USF and Rutgers

Since we dropped BC, I think Notre Dame owes it to the Big East to schedule some of their teams since ND is in the conference for all other sports. It's their way of contributing to the success of the Big East.

Then schedule Louisville, WVU, heck even Syracuse has a better shot of bouncing back...

Rutgers and USF???? Makes me throw up a little in my mouth.

You can talk all day about how Rutgers is up and coming, but my god there is no need for a 6 or 8 game series with them

As for "owing" the BE....I don't see why, all their coaches bash us in the paper claiming we "stole" their bowl.....All the while the only reason the BE was able to get those bowl deals was if they were allowed to take ND on occasion...if the BE said no to this, they weren't getting any bowls.

As for the rest of the sports, lets see, we help them with exposure through CSTV, we have the best all around sports program in the BE, both Mens and women's....I don't see us "owing" them much of anything.

For as much as the BE complains, I'd rather ND joined the A-10 or something in the other sports and just dumped those whiners completely....
