Best thing about Tommy this season.... Only 2 turnovers.
Tonight
21 of 34 61.8% 319 yds 2 TD O Int, QB Eff 160
For the season
66 of 108 61.1% 979 yds 9.1 YPA, 7 TDs TD% 6.5%, 2 Ints INT% 1.85, QB EFF 154.9
Could you imagine if we didn't have the 5-6 drops. Only one really bad throw otherwise a good game from Tommy.
Almost every QB of every team could say that though, so the completion % is pretty fair across the board.
The ASU QB has a WR who alone has 5 drops right now, lol.
300+ in all 3 games. Who would have guessed this. He's one guy who's not to blame for our slow start.
Man, there may never be another QB that top's Quinn's record.
No, he was prolific but he was also a 4 year starter.
True, that's kind of the catch though. Not all QBs become 4 year starters. Typically a 4 year starter seems to be the exception to the rule if you look at all FBS QBs, but you always hear about the big time freshmen like Mariotta, Hogan, Money Badger, etc. I think it'll be hard for any QB to come to ND and break Quinn's record simply because you'll need 4 years to do it probably, and any QB that puts up close to his numbers in 3 years will probably be gone by the 4th anyway ala Clausen.
Rees is the only one that was not the season starter until his last season.
CBSSports.com in their Ranking of Players and Teams has Tommy Rees #7 this week right behind Manziel.
Tommy Football, who knew?
I read here last night that Rees only wins against mediocre teams. Yawn.
Speaking of mediocre, the third ranked QB Teddy Bridegewater has played against Ohio, not State, the little guys, Eastern Kentucky, and real Kentucky. Next week he has FIU followed by Temple.

Reesus for Heisman. Lets get this kid drafted too.
Senior QB Tommy Rees ranks seventh in the FBS in passing yards (969), but no one has thrown for more yards against FBS opponents in 2013.
Rees has 7 completions of at least 32 yards in 3 games.
That's only 4 less than ALL Irish QBs had in 13 games last year.
#Reesus leads, and everyone else follows
