gamerosters.com says that their roster will be done this morning. They are in their quality assurance check stage. They charge but hopefully someone will put them up for free as soon as they get them I am sure.

Also any word on someone starting up an 360 dynasty?

There are finished rosters floating around if you don't need coaches and just want names... I have one myself...

I played around with Dynasty last night… it did seem harder to recruit… but I only spent maybe twenty minutes. I am hearing it is more difficult this year.

My hope is that, because of recruiting, it is difficult, if not almost impossible, (as it should be) to maintain a NC contending program for years on end without fail... in past years, after a few recruiting cycles I seperate myself SO MUCh that I either win the Natty or finish in the top three every year for twenty plus years, every year ... at a certain point, that isn't as fun.

I also saw that coaching skills tree and abilities are indeed set for ALL coaches according to their real life counterparts... I hope that schools that have established coaches, like Saban for example, are much harder to beat because of the extensive coaching tree abilities they have already unlocked… that would bring Much more meaning to coach carousel and make the game harder overall… if the coaching tree only really impacts YOUR team, then it’s a throw away feature imo, as it would only serve to seperate your team from everyone else given time.

Here’s hoping.

With some completed rosters out-does anyone want to post how they are doing ND's roster?! Just curious to what player switches, additions, subtractions, edits, etc... people are making...thought it'd be a good discussion to have.

I think people are just using the wrong recruiting strategy or haven't put much into their recruiting tree. If you max out ~10 recruits and schedule visits as early as possible to keep the commit train moving, you'll wind up getting just about everyone you want before the offseason starts, and you can throw a ton of points at your remaining targets. If you spread the points around and try to maximize your visit points, you'll wind up with more realistic (i.e., worse) classes. I didn't see an option to change the recruiting difficulty in this year's game. Maybe it's been rolled in to the overall difficulty this year?

I do like how much more streamlined recruiting is. It feels like it's cut about 10 minutes out of every week. The only thing I really miss is the straightforward recruiting board sorting options we used to have. If it's still possible to re-sort your board, I can't for the life of me figure out how.

The only thing I did was add CJ Prosise to the roster I downloaded. No other changes other than the rosters are named. Well...that, and I completed decimated Alabama's roster for fun  It's nice to see who takes their place among the powerhouses, adds more fresh faces at the top for diversity.

This is the strategy I've been running with the last few years, and it's working well for me this year so far. It's almost a requirement to do recruiting like this if you're building up a crummy program, otherwise you can't compete with bigger programs for decent recruits.

I always thought the names at the top had a few surprises every year in a dynasty or coaching carousel. The main schools always remained in the top 10 but it wasn't like Alabama won the SEC every year or the natty. Maybe I wasn't paying enough attention too.

I know Alabama is crazy stacked in real life, and they've earned what they've accomplished on the field, but I felt EA was a little overzealous with some of the skills on players this year (Or every year?) If you take into account that the best 5 star freshmen you can sign most years are in the high 70s to low 80s range, and Alabama in NCAA '14 had several freshman in the mid or high 80s on roster, it's a bit exaggerated imo.

Couple that with that fact Johnny Manziel was ranked a 97...I don't care if you won the Heisman, you're still a Sophomore and I'm bumping you down to a 91-92 at most. If he stays for his Senior season he'll be well past 99 as it is.

oh I am not disagreeing with any of that I just thought that in years past EA always did a nice job of having someone like Iowa win the rose bowl or Arizona being top 10 or something out of the blue.

I'm not sure how hit occurred, but in '13 last year I switched from ND and started a dynasty with Texas State to build them up, and in 3 straight seasons I played Bama for the championship, then one Nebraska team, then Bama again I think. Oddly enough the Irish were locked as #1 in Championship Contender for 4 straight years after I switched jobs, but each year they lost a head scratcher to Navy, Pitt, and one year a close one with Michigan.

Is it worth getting this game or is it equal to '13?

Offense is WAY too over powered... and the new intros are just dumb imo...

other than that, all the additions as positives IMO... I think it's definately a step up from last year...

I think offense definitely has the advantage, but I don't think defense is broken as some people have claimed. I've been watching nykia31's (Pretty informative guy imo, and he's an ND fan) videos on Youtube, and a lot of his subscriber games he's played in so far have been low scoring. I think part of it is just adjusting to the new engine and feeling it out. Fixing the option, and adding in a lot of new option attacks does make it tougher to play defense though.

I will echo that '14 is a bigger step up than '13 was. I like the engine, haven't had get suction blocked yet, and no morphing that I've seen with the players. Some have said it's the best NCAA on the current console, we just had to wait several years. Ultimate Team could be a nice addition (I haven't played around with it aside from opening the starter pack). Fixing the option and adding better blocking has been a nice addition after a Spread overload the last few years with a majority of college football teams. I've liked the Recruiting changes, and the Coaching Skills is a nice addition imo for those of us that like to work our way up. Finally, I think the little touches with the new stadium/game intros and halftime makes it feel like you're watching a real game. There have been a few minor bugs, like the stadium sounds cutting all audio for a second before they play, but I imagine they'll get a patch to us for this. I haven't found anything discouraging or game breaking yet.

Whats really new about the recruiting? And I definitely like working my way up so the coaching skills sound interesting. If the game wasn't 60 bucks I'd buy it no problem but I am a bit hesitant and will probably wait for it to be a little cheaper
