Happy Fathers Day to everyone who had a Father or is a Father!
Here is what I learned from my Father;
The closer you live your life to the truth, the more difficult your life will become; most people don't want to hear, let alone live the truth.
Have a sense of humor, sometimes it is all there is to get you through, and it really helps sometimes when you are trying to be truthful.
Be humble, it helps keep other peoples expectations down.
Stick to your guns; it is all you have. If you are really talented, smart, and lucky you can avoid pulling the trigger.
Live the Golden Rule, if you don't, sooner or later it will rob you of your soul.
Live your life for yourself, and hold your family above yourself. Family is what it is all about. And above that, there is the love of a child. This is the purest thing any of us will ever see or experience.
It doesn't matter how much you talk, as long as you listen all of the time.
I had my father for my first 48 years, the first 20 we bumped heads, the last 20 we talked and I listened.
Here is to fellowship, listening when talking, treating others with respect and dignity, (except for tolls), the truth, and having a sense of humor!
