Shout out to # 54!

Hope the transition from the NFL to retirement goes well for him. While many handle it well there are some that have had a hard time with it.

I wish Brian well.

As a former Lobo Football alum...as is Brian...I wish him the best. He has made Lobo Football (from a small New Mexico town) proud.

Congrats to one of the greatest Bears of my life. I am really happy to not have to see him in another uniform.

One of the greats....Good to see a guy walk away rather than limp away in a strange uniform.

Good luck, Mr Urlacher

Indeed, one of the greats.

I'm also really glad he's leaving as Bear, but trust me, he's limping already.

True....But it's those last few years that REALLY do the damage.

And like you said....Class guy that is leaving the game having only played for one franchise. At lot to be said for that.

Its a lot to be said, it also says no one wanted to pay him.

Great player. Best of luck to him.

Best of luck to Brian, will take his place in the line of great Bear linebackers. Always represented himself and his team with class, a real good guy and a real pro.

I'd retire too if I had nothing better to do but thump Jenny McCarthy. Holy Crow!!!

Live well, Big Man!

As a bears fan I like that he hung them up now.

As a football fan, he hung them up because no one wanted him. He wanted too much from the bears organization and they werent willing to bend for a player way past his prime.

Sad to say, but he made his bed and he laid in it for this retirement. He could've taken the deal that was offered and atleast played one more year. He chose to be greedy for his worth and now he is retiring.

I'm still an Urlacher fan, but I'm also a realist.
