If they were there to stage a terror attack, why would they wear their gear? It wasn't a baseball game. Don't need to wear the team hat. Reason 1/100 why that thing is a joke.

LOL! I agree that all the conspiracy stuff is a waste of time, but if you start trying to figure out what happened based on common sense, nothing the brothers did after the attacj makes much sense at all. They had no plan B whatsoever. They assumed no one would come looking. One of the reason conspiracy theories work is because people, especially criminals, do extremely stupid things that make no sense-- especially from the outside. :)

This is why you can't let academics do stuff in real life. It is fine to have these kind of thought experiments on campus, but this is clearly inappropriate and an example of someone abusing their official capacity to be a provocateur.

For the record, Falk is Jewish and is unquestionably bright in some sense of the word. But this is asinine.

Great point.....

There is no place for "you deserved this" or "had it coming" when there are innocent people involved who actually didn't have it coming.

Hmmm... Are you saying that this is irresponsible because its provacative or that he is actually wrong? Maybe both?

I am not a Beck fan, but I think the slack you give Falk ("unquestionably bright in some sense of the word. But this is asinine), is what a lot of people give to Beck ("willing to ask questions that others won't, but often asinine."). I agree that he is not the brightest star in the sky, but sometimes raw intelligence is not the end all and be all. Sometimes you just need someone willing to tell the story. I feel like the right-wing radio hosts have been invaluable in getting publicity for stories that the mainstream media might otherwise bury (in one way or another). They may be assinine or obnoxious at times, but that is still better than well-educated propoganda (i.e., reporting with a consistent idealogical slant).
